GMK does have 1.5 key for each rows, that would be fitting to have proper sculpted set on an EDOX... I offered it once in interest check and got an entire 7 people that wanted to buy it so it's possible but perhaps not feasible if there aren't enough people that want it to get 250MOQ.
I think the main issue was that the only real option for EDOX is blanks, since there is no real standard layout that everyone uses having legends becomes impossible since everyone wants different things.
Matt3o managed OK with Granite. To my knowledge the Ergodoxian kit was fairly popular.

Yeah, but granite was hugely popular. GMK is notorious for being much more expensive than SP, which might turn some people off of buying an ergodox kit from GMK. Plus, I don't think that there are 250 people who would actually want an ergodox kit for this set anyway. It's not usually the #1 selling part of a set.

It might not hurt to offer it, of course. You never know.

You might be surprised.

Anyway, I was only responding to Ivan's comment about "legended" (is that a word?) Ergodox kits.

DSA has the advantage of being all the same profile, there are not sculpted with different row shapes so it's much easier to move the keys around for the desired layout which is what seems to make it popular with users of non standard boards and layouts.
That really isn't possible with sculpted legend keys unless you don't care at all about having random row profile keys scattered all about. Now, GMK does have a uniform profile short spherical key similar to DSA... but the key sizes are extremely limited and don't cover all the sizes needed for standard boards so probably a non starter for anything else besides things like EDox, JD40, etc.

If you did an Ergodox kit one would assume you'd do it in your chosen profile's equivalent of row 3/flat. It's typically a mods kit and row profiles don't matter that much.

Just saying. I'm not likely to buy Klaxon so I don't care what you do -- I've got no horse in this race.  It makes no difference to me.

GMK ONLY fits quality Keyboards hence time for noobs to drop their current el-cheapo, chinese made junk and join the winning team here on GH.

Better get a GON or any quality, Korean made setup to really highlight the pure perfection of GMK made key-caps.

Filcos are very high quality as far as 'noob' keyboards go. i'd take one over a Ducky/Noppoo/gamer oriented board (Razer CM et al) any day of the week

Nothing wrong with Filcos although they were once made in Taiwan, a district belonging to the Chinese mainland  ;) .

A US-run GMK buy won't have that price tag.  That's an artifact of taxes, shipping, and other fees, which this buy wouldn't be subject to - it would be more in line with GMK Dolch or HyperFuse.

Oh I know it won't. I also want GMK Olivetti, both sets are amazing. Granted, both of Photek's set come with a Hammer keycap, but I also don't have enough boards. I would probably put RA on DrHubble's board

Klaxon is tj's spin on Red Alert.  The SP groupbuy had slight differences in legend/key choices from the Red Alert sets (as well as the addition of the RoG colorway), which would (presumably) be carried over to GMK here.

But yeah, this hasn't gone anywhere in awhile.  :(
