The Plaid (https://reddit.com/r/mechmarket/comments/apf0ng/gb_plaid_throughhole_kit_12x4_ortholinear/) was such a neat idea, I’m happy that more people are taking inspirations from it.

That said, why only 3 rows? Just use the Planck or even Preonic layout. Way easier for people to commit.

Wow it look nice ;). This one aim to mobile who want to bring their keyboard around or use it with ipad. But we image about TKL with this design ;).

Personal question: which do white button use for?

And another: Are you vietnamese?

I am note sure if I can go lower than 42-keys, but this project is so ambitious, there is no other keeb I would rather try to go lower on than this one.

It’s a boot switch. You hold it + the reset button to enter flash mode.
And yes. In fact, I’m pretty sure I met you IRL before, in one of those meetups.

Infact, my first idea is “steampunk” but with a first version it look like cyperpunk or tron. Lol.

Anyway i think i will change name to oldstyle to step away with a “name” problem.

Any chance of making the PCB white? Just thought that it would look a lot cleaner that way. Or maybe the option of choosing PCB color when people order?

Board looks sick, but too small for me to be functional, and I'm not a fan of this trend of having the diodes all in one location away from the corresponding pads. I'd be interested in something between a 40% and a 65%.

Don't know if anyone else mentioned it, but there's a word that sits right in the middle between steampunk and cyberpunk. It's. Retrofuturism. Think second (the new one) Blade runner

I agree with some other comments and I'd rather commit to 60/65% board. Ideas like taking layout from preonic are also appealing.

It really depends on how you look at it.
I guess Blade Runner 2 could be considered retrofuturistic because it was meant to resemble a past view of the future (the original Blade Runner), but since it is rather faithful to the setting of the original which is generally considered cyberpunk (despite taking influence from noir films and the like its vision of the future was fairly earnest). Similar to Neuromancer and Ghost in the Shell, cyberpunk used to just be grungy contemporary (80's) scifi, but now its become a genre essentially frozen in time like westerns or mobster movies.
