I was going to get some of the new Zeal linears buuuuuutt.... I already have Zealio 67g and Gat Black and Vin Black stems so I am good.

TBH， never tried Gateron black... are they smooth? I am a fan of vintage blacks...

I've tried different vintage blacks and in my opinion they can vary in smoothness, but I think lubed gateron blacks are more consistent and can be as good as nice worn in lubed vintage blacks.

I don't have of the gateron blacks anymore, but that's how I remember them feeling at least.

Take it all with a grain of salt I guess.

Gaterons and new Cherry blacks are smoother than vintage blacks, with the added bonus of a normal price. Gaterons just have a tiny bit more wobble.

I am in Shenzhen now and we are doing a little bit color testing now. We will try to make a sample for each color now and see if it's good or not.

Here's a sample of color grey. And i will do a little adjustment for it.

I don't remember when I first thought this up, but I want to use a SS plate for my Revo RJ, and I was thinking some of you might want to do the same since it wasn't offered in the original GB.
 
I am thinking about contacting lasergist to see what kind of prices they could offer for a SS group buy (if they offer any price drops at all)


If you're interested let me know and I'll see what lasergist might be able to offer :)

Also, question for you Revo: if there is enough interest, would it be possible to get the plate design you used so we can keep the design consistent?

Not sure how much it'll differ, but from being in two Duck group buys, it took about a week, possibly two for the boards to move from Korea to me in the US.

I was reading a bit on Xondat's X60 thread and noticed that some people were having some issues with USB port fitment with the Zeal60 PCB. I don't know if it will affect the RJ, but worth throwing out there. I've been debating on using a Zeal60 with this, but have been reluctant to because of some of the fitment talk. Anyone who is planning on using one (I'm sure you will, but I'm going to ask anyway), could you post your experience and which revision of the PCB you used? (I have a Zeal60 R1, but it's in another board)

RJ is standard mount so it should work better with that PCB. Although, I have heard of others that had to file the PCB down a bit in order for it to work. I guess we will not know until they are here though. I am thinking about using a Zeal60 for one of them too.

Ok, little update regarding the ss plates. AlexAtPanc is teaming up with me now since I never got a response from lasergist :/

There is interest for about 11 plates currently, and Alex gave me a ballpark of about $41 shipped CONUS for a raw finish for the Revo style plate. (International would be a bit more, not much though)
The more people interested, the more chance for price to decrease.
 
He also said we could get some of his universal style plates for $30 shipped CONUS. (These would be raw finish as well)

Alex also mentioned there might be other other options in terms of finish, but I'm not sure what that entails.

Update here:

Just finished testing the box we made... It's soild enough for shipping. So we will start shipping from tomorrow or the day after tomorrow when boxes are finished. Tracking will be filled in paypal when i got time for it.
