I'm calling bull**** on the PS3/Vita store shutdown. It is all 100% rumors right now as Sony has made no official announcements, and it simply does not make any financial or customer sense to do something like this so abruptly without warning. Keeping that storefront active costs them a pittance and since nothing EVER goes on sale they still make trickle returns on digital-only and DLC. Additionally many fps and fighting game servers remain open and quite active, and the timeline of early July for the shutdown seems absurdly soon.

I believe these rumors to be bull**** until Sony makes an official statement. I could see Summer next year, but less than 4 months with zero prep or announcement is unbelievable.

my guess, Sony kills off the ps3 hopping peoples will upgrade to the ps5, so they get some insurance to ride that wave of very high demand for as long as possible, only a guess though, but to me it makes sence

It's over-due for the PS3 store to be taken offline since now we're 2 gens up on it.  The Vita store needs to stay up, loved this device and have co-workers that still use them and I would love to get one just to add to my collection (the OLED version though).
