Take my advice, don't get old!

Die young?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Not even close.  It's a claymation game, in the same style as The Neverhood (same creator/lead).  I specifically was not allowed to play that game as a child.  :)

I don't know how to describe the game properly without just showing someone.  It's technically a point and click adventure / puzzle game, but the humor and style is more adult-themed than you might expect.  It's just a blast to play.  (referring to The Neverhood here)

I'm super stoked to see a "follow-up" finally released.  The Neverhood was released for Windows 95/98 and does not run very well at all on newer machines due to screen size issues, so I haven't played it in ages.

ISW? Is that Islamic State Weekly?

Yeah, Russian Foreign Ministry just warned that there are the photos of civilian casualties, and they were published before the bombing started.

Having more than 5GB available on the internal HDD!!  And, by every estimation, not having to struggle on a daily basis to keep that space free!!

112502-0

Of course there are still all the apps to reinstall, and about 100GB of data to restore, but even after that there will still be in excess of 800GB free!

The media is so anti-Russia it's retarded, while backing Asad is horrible, at least he is someone who can be controlled and manipulated and is someone who controls the police/army etc... simply arming rebels and hope they sort it out has only ever made any situation in the middle east worse.

I'm not pro-Russia but Asad is clearly the only one you could back with any hope of Syria being a country people could live in within the next 50-60 years...

The impartial BBC?
The media is so anti-Russia it's retarded, while backing Asad is horrible, at least he is someone who can be controlled and manipulated and is someone who controls the police/army etc... simply arming rebels and hope they sort it out has only ever made any situation in the middle east worse.

I'm not pro-Russia but Asad is clearly the only one you could back with any hope of Syria being a country people could live in within the next 50-60 years...

I just think this is what happens when you delay and try and see what happens in international politics. I think if we or another EU country had pledged to bomb IS in Syria before this, America would not have had to ask Russia. Putin used the meeting as an excuse to do what he had wanted to do all along. He is a sneaky SOB, and if we continue to trust him... Well, I just think we would be stupid to scrap Trident right now...
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Russia was pro Assad well before ISIS existed and wanted to bomb ISIS before the Americans had started to. No one trusts Russia, which is why the press is so obviously anti Russia, I don't trust any politician especially a totalitarian dictator, but some times they get things right or have a good point of view which is worth listening to and seeing what happens.
Re-establishing Assad's dictatorship will give Syria some stability that then Russia, Europe and the US can force to slowly change to be a more open and fair society. You can't bludgeon equality, justice and open religiousness into people that have spent generations essentially living in the dark ages.

~deleted because too personal~

But one other thing that makes me happy is that it looks like there isn't any damage to my truck after I backed it up into a ditch like a sleep deprived moron.

Hey congrats! When is your turn? (I expect many of your relatives might ask you similar questions during the engagement party, no? )
