I would like to join, but there is a really big uncertainty around the colors.
I've seen sets that looked great on renders, but turned to ugly once colors where defined. And the purple color is one of the most problematic. Fact is that, if this isn't going to be your work keyboard, most of the time the light in the room will be quite dim, so your set will look very dark.

Look for example at this set... it was supposed to be purple and gold, but turned out to be mostly-black an butter.

I would just check with OP if they plan to run samples with GMK (as is done with most kits that use custom pantone colors) before going into production.

If anyone is absolutely gunning for this to get run sooner rather than later, then I'll gladly hand over the reigns to someone else, just not a great time for me to be trying to figure Keeb stuff out!

The colors and novelties are just really good. I haven't even heard the album nor have any sentimental attachment to Kendrick. This is just a nice looking set I would buy to put on my keyboards.

The reason why I am writing this is that we all know a few keyset designs that get stuck in IC, OP goes silent but the community still eager for that keyset. Would it be bad taking over and iterating a set like this without THRILLHOIAF's permission? It sounds wrong, I agree but well... what else is there to do, let beautiful ideas rot away?

I do apologise for resurrecting a dead thread and possibly sounding like a cash-grab by wanting to take over this but I think it's enough time waiting for a silent approval that can take ages, or never happen at all.

no problem with this if the contact has been attempted— it’s the only option forward no? and it’s been my hope since it’s rise and death

very exciting either way, and i’m sure working with a team would be smart to try imitate/ move the idea forward

Fell out of the MK and custom keycap design hobby after SA By the Sea wrapped up!

I've handed all artwork svg's, original kit json's, and pantone info to user ttom, the guy who ran GMK N9 ortho, GMK WoB extensions, GMK Deep Navy, GMK Fuji, GMK Cyrillic WoB & Beige etc.

really sorry for the lack of communication on a set you are all interested on! The set is in good hands and fingers crossed it generates enough interest to come to fruition!

I'm sorry for completely ghosting your message my friend. I don't have notifications set up for GH messages -- handing over to ttom wasn't meant to be a slight to you, or any of the fine folks here who PM'd me to offer assistance or takeover.... I'm awful with replying to PM's in a timely fashion, or simply catching them to begin with... I saw ttom's PM over on Reddit and immediately sorted it without even checking up on my GH account.
