Haven't been following this thread, so pardon my ignorance, but are sampler sets available, and if not, when will they be, if at all?

Anywhere else to order these sorts of springs from?  (Outside of a group buy, lol?)

I'm not actually looking for golden bling.  Especially since it's buried under keycaps and keyswitch plastics.
But I am attracted to the special tempering and weights.

But thanx for the reply and the linky, sir  :D

I contacted Zeal about springs in the 62g - 68g range, and I got the following response:

"The current "Sprit Springs" are all that is left and will most likely not be restocked. However, I am working on sourcing some new 62g gold springs in the near future. Stay tuned!"

That's very disappointing. The brown springs are too light and make the keyboard feel cheap, but the MX Clear springs in my ergodox are so stiff they negate any benefit of having an ergonomic design. I have RSI in both of my arms, so it's very important for me to find a happy medium between the browns and clears. A 65g or 68g spring sounded perfect, but they are now sold out and it doesn't appear they will return.

Does anyone know of another place to get 65g or 68g korean springs?

no, they aren't. browns have almost the same springs as reds (about 55-58g on korean scale)

MX Springs Compared
I follow the Cherry Original Specs and GeekHack Standard.
For my 50g ~78g, I have tried to add some softer touch. They start slightly softer and mellow than stock ones.
-  My 50g   is a little bit softer and lighter than MX Red (55g)
-  My 55g   is slightly softer and lighter than MX Brown, MX Blue (58g-60g)
-  My 60g   is similar to MX Blue, but a little bit tighter and stable
-  My 62g   is slightly heavier than MX Blue
-  My 65g   is soft but quite heavier than MX Blue
-  My 68g-72g   is similar to Vintage MX Blacks (soft & cushiony)
-  My 78g   is a Soft MX Clear Edition, softer & lighter than MX Clear, but same cushiony too.
-  My 85g   is similar to MX Clear.   v1.0 starts little bit solid,  v1.1 starts softer

Actually I asked Zeal about that as well, and they said this:

"As for a spring that's comparable to MX Browns, that would be the 60g Korean spring. MX Clear springs would be 78g or 85g (78g is a bit lighter, 85g is almost identical to stock Clear spring)."

note that Originative's graph can also lead to misinterpretations as we don't know which spring they are testing as "MX Light"... is it red or brown? :/

the problem is that they aren't completely identical (red/brown/blue) as Sprit or even Ripster have reported ;) the reds springs are always more lighter than browns/blues

Did they measure the springs by themselves, or did they measure them assembled into the switch? I'm sure the stems have a lot to do with the measured / perceived force of the spring.

Well, after almost half a year of using 50g and 55g gold plated springs I can share some feedback.
First the plating, it looks good but that is less important, the gold plating makes the surface smooth. Compared to non plated springs there is no squeaking or scratchy sound when you press the switch and this is whithout lube. I have compared SPRiT springs with springs from GON (55g) and Originative (50g) and the gold plated feel much smoother.
Also there is a difference in the compression curve, I use only linear switches, in particular MX Black Old or Vintage, the springs from Originative and from GON feel linear, SPRiT springs feel more like topre there is a small resistance at the beginning inthe middle the travel is linear and in the end you feel some resistance making the landing soft. This feel is more accentuated with the 55g springs. As a HHKB user I could say that 55g feel almost as 45g Topre.
All of this is based on my daily usage I don't have any tools to measure this, only my fingers.
For me 55g springs make MX Black feel exactly how MX Red should feel.
50g are bit too light, but I think if your are a floating typing or whatever it is called and don't bottom out these are perfect.
Because I like only light and linear switches I can't provide info on other weights except 68g on the spacebar which is great.
SPRiT has done a great job with the design of these springs  :thumb:
As a side note, forget the graphs for spring weights published in the past, these don't apply to SPRiT springs at least from what I could notice.

Your report is very interesting, thank you very much for sharing it. It informs our decision to explore this springs. I already got some but I have not had the chance to test them yet.

What board and key caps did you use when trying the springs?

I have only 60% boards, 2 GON NerD60 and one SPRiT 60%, all of them have either Old or Vintage MX Blacks, 2 of the boards use 55g SPRiT springs and one 55g GON springs. I use only Cherry or GMK caps, so maybe with thinner caps the feeling will differ, didn't test that. The boards are rotated depending of the mood I have.
One the boards with SPRiT 55g has Vintage Blacks plate mounted. The plate doesn't change the feeling too much.
All the switches are stock that means no lube and no stickers, made some tests with lubing and stickers only to realize that for me it was a waste of time, the switches feel nice and smooth without lube, the springs make the switch feel very smooth so for me the lube doesn't add an extra benefit.
Stickers are for me just waste of time, don't understand why people use them, but that's me  :p

Anyway, the conclusion is "Use the springs, don't just keep them in a bag!" , I have swapped the springs on all my boards and will do the same on my future boards. My personal favorite are the 55g springs but also 50g are nice, my guess is that 50g with thinner caps like SP DSA (PBT or ABS) should feel really nice.

In particular, I believe the caps and the case make a lot of difference in the typing besides switches and their springs, of course; also, I concur lubing and stickering add very few to the overall feeling of the board.

I am waiting for the Gaterons to put together the last Nerd60 I got from Gon. I will make blacks and blues with 65g gold springs both, on the Nerd60 with a semi ANSI/ISO layout (ANSI with ISO enter and 1.75u right shift) , vintage Cherry WoB alphas with purple or blue modifiers and a TEX acrylic machined case I am still waiting for from MD.

I will use the blues for the alphas and the blacks for numbers and modifiers; but, I am not sure about this mix, though.

Will 55g be restocked any time soon?

Interested in the answer to this question as well.  Looks like the 55g variety wasn't produced for this round, but will it be made again sometime soon?

55g was produced in R2 but sold out really fast. Talking with SPRiT I understood that 55g will be produced again.
