Show off your GH60
« on: Tue, 21 July 2015, 00:46:22 »
To avoid messing up the already messed up official GH60 thread I created this one so you can --if you want-- show your GH60 creations. Work in progress welcome.

I had a chance to build two so far.

The first one:
- Cherry MX Green
- Aluminum case
- No plate
- DSA Retro keycaps

The second one is build for our good friend BunnyLake (as a thank you gift for the work he is doing for the GH60 GB).

- Gateron clears opened, lubed, added stickers and replaced the top casing with a clear one.
- Titanium plate
- case and keycaps will be added by Bunny

Isn't there a media thread for gh60s? Could post descriptions + pics there although I realize a lot of it is just pics. Nice boards though

I thought about it, but on the official thread we started also talking about firmware programming.

So this could be a place for problem solving too

Well your Retro DSA collection is certainly extremely versatile and timeless, the titanium build looks beautiful too, I stuff the empty space on my keyboards, if there is any, with coins to add bulk tho, so for me a titanium plate wouldn't make much sense :) (bulk really increases the grip of rubber feet too)

Off topic, I also find it interesting that, in the backgrounds, you always seem to have a non-custom keyboard with mostly stock keycaps :)

Here's mine with caps on, just before its first day in the office. This board is a couple of firsts for me; first board with Nixdorf blacks (I've had them sat in a bag for 18 months waiting for this) and first with screw in stabs, both of which feel pretty nice. I didn't go with a sexy case for this one as it's going to be humped backwards and forwards between home and the office so it's just a stock PokerX one.

Sorry for the massive pic, didn't have time to resize before work...

edit - here's the gut-shot from the GH60 thread.

I'll make sure to take some new pics of my Rev B, just swapped it over at work so I'm going to clean it up and slap a new set of caps on.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

that in background is a leopold 660C modded to 55g with PBT spacebar! I wouldn't call it mainstream :P
