Ok, so I have a dumb question. Is the H bar the part that covers up the bare PCB? Can this be added if the switches are already soldered on? I'd really like a frosted or white 87% one if that's the case.

I'm dropping in a Ducky Shine 3 TKL into my Acrylic case and was just going to deal with the bare black showing.

the H bar is the part on top of the plate, u can remove them even if your keycaps is still on.

Got it! Thank you. :D

Guys!

Just expect everything to be shipped before end of 2014. You get it sooner, great! If not, who cares! That's the key to any group buy isn't it?

Um. It's not that. I'm currently living away from home and would not be back till 3 months later. Who's gonna get the parcel for me if the shipping is way off the time intended. Plus the time I planned to put the board together was during my summer break. So yeah.

I'm already past the 45-day limit. Am I complaining? No, am I disappointed? Yes. Mainly because I'm away from home for a few months, so I didn't get to build the keyboards. Good welcoming present once I get back though.

Hi SPRIT,

I have an order which is springs only and some lube. I have not received an invoice. You posted a few pages back that you would invoice me. I will send a PM with my email address and order items to see if you can then invoice me. It would be great if I could get in on this batch of spring orders.

Hey Sprit,

I bought 2 acrylic case from you, which I paid for. Would it be possible for me to put in an order for a full keyboard + assembly and just pay the difference between what I've paid and what a fully assembled keyboard would cost? or would I just have to order & pay for a full keyboard?

Please let me know!

I love all of your update pics, the cases look beautiful!

2nd  Order !    OPEN !   >    [/font]

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1avh0wGJIpLXC8duM5XfIOMrk8eCp6ZGE27QY08WDqcg/viewform

I am a bit confused and I hope you guys can help me.
Is it correct that I can order a fully assembled 75% ISO keyboard from this thread if I buy all the parts and check assembly?
I'm not too sure what parts I exactly need to order, I think I got it but I am not too sure if LEDs for example are necessary for the whole thing to work or can be left out...
Would be nice if someone could give me a list of parts for the 75% ISO...

I need some time to think about if a 75% keyboard really gives me any advantage over my TKL board and if it would be worth more than 200 USD for me... I looked through the first post of this topic and couldn't find any deadline for this GB. For how long will I have the opportunity to think about my decision?

Sorry for causing you any inconvenience by asking these questions  :-[

Hey RSSonic92,

To build a 75% board I think you'd need the following:
1x 75% PCB
1x 90 MX Switches
1x Cherry Stabilizers 5pcs
1x 75% Acryl Case
1x Assembly service
1x Plate *optional* - depends on your preferences

LEDs are not needed for the keyboard to function, obviously the only other things you'd need are keycaps and a suitable USB cable.

Can someone help me out. What if I wanted a wanted an assembled TKL from this GB.  Does that mean it will ship to me fully functional and ready to use?

could someone please help me list what i'd need to order and how much the total would be. The prices and the whole set up of the page is really hard to read.

To build a board you'd need the following:
1x X% PCB $50 or $55
1x 90 MX Switches $45
1x Cherry Stabilizers Xpcs $10ish
1x X% Acryl Case $80ish
1x Assembly service $45
1x Plate *optional* - depends on your preferences $25

Obviously the only other things you'd need are keycaps and a suitable USB cable.

Total cost: $230 or similar depending on configuration

The Springs Compared

Basically I follow the Cherry Original Specs and GeekHack Standards. ;)

But As we know, sometimes Cherry Originals are quite different in pressure, even in the same switches.

So I have compared All the samples I got, and compared with my References.

For my 50g ~70g  version, I added a initial soft touch. (They start a little bit softer and mellow.)

My 50g  is a little bit lighter than MX Red
My 55g  is similar to MX Red, Brown, Blue
My 60g  is similar to some Vintage MX Blue and some Blue
My 62g  is similar to MX White Click
My 65g  is similar to MX Skyblue Click
My 68g  is similar to some Vintage MX Black
My 70g - 75g  is similar to MX Green
My 75g - 80g  is similar to MX Black
My 85g  is similar to MX Clear
My 100g  is similar to MX Grey Nonclick in MX Clear Keyboards.
My 120g  is super-heavy.

Hi Sprit, I received your invoice 1529 for $315.18

Could you confirm that I have MX Clears for my order? You said you were low on stock but I am not sure if you're able to get me some for my order.

Secondly, I got a 60% board full assembly, I calculated and it should come up to $240 (I left out the stabalizers in my order. But since I got full assembly, did you add them for me automatically?).

Is it $75 for shipping (To Canada)?

Thanks for all your work Sprit! If you confirm this for me I will pay the invoice immediately!

Nevermind just looked at the full invoice -_-

Could I make only one change, since you posted how your springs feel in comparison, could I get 100g springs? I also don't need the lube and spring swap, the springs are for moding later on if I need. Could you take the service out of my order?

Do you want me to PM you my address for you to calculate shipping costs?

So much thanks for all your work Sprit!!

Can I still order them? What does the 5pcs set cost?

Kinda unhandy if you are trying to calculate the keyboards price.

They're invoiced separately, give me a sec and I'll find out how much UK shipping cost which should be pretty similar

EDIT: mine came to $52.53 for one PCB, switches and LEDs. I would guess yours *might* be on the shipping band below this as assembled item takes up less volume.

if you're wondering about UK shipping. Mine was "0.5kg or under" classed. It came to $25 shipping. That was for three spring sets and some lube. SPRIT is looking to get a UK group buy organised to do a combined shipping so we can all save. For me the shipping was almost equal to the cost of the products haha! Waiting to hear news from him on this. Express your interest to him if interested I suppose!

Sprit,

When are the metal cases avaliable?

Are the metal cases going to be compatible with the hhkb layout?

I saw the plastic hhkb pictures. They look nice. :)

Has anyone had anything shipped to them?

Only a few that requested PCBs without SMD components pre-soldered.

I requested a 110% PCB that has not shipped yet, to my knowlege.

I was expecting it to arrive with diodes unsoldered. I'm fine either way, as long as it gets here.

So basically he's only waiting for cases at this point? Sounds good!

I don't think Sprit originally realised quite how big this buy was going to get, what with the addition of bits like springs and stabilizers and switches so his original planned dates were so far out. He's been really busy prototyping various bits such as the springs to make sure it's all just right! He's almost on the dispatch stage now at which point tasks like invoicing will become much more fluent I think :)
