Wow, great job Sprit. Looks better and better every time I look at this thread.

Just two questions:

- The acrylic plates are available in any color, not just clear?

- Do the plates allow modding without desoldering?

Thanks  :)

i'm not sure about the available colours, but it's subjected to whether that particular colour u want meets the MOQ or not. from some of his pictuers, i can see there's red, sky blue, frost, clear and black, but that's for round 1.
the plates allows u to swap switch stem or springs without having to desolder them.

I thought the resistors come preinstalled on the pcb.

Is this true for an unassembled order?

I think you'll only get resistors if you also ordered LEDs. If you ordered LEDs they will be specific to the colour of LED you ordered!

Mine only had the controller and other SMD components soldered on it.  I have to source and solder the resistors and diodes myself.

I need 1N4148 diodes (through-hole) and SMD Resistor Imperial 0805 / 2012 Metric, right?

Aw that sucks. The pics in the op don't really directly show the layout, and there's pretty much nothing for 75%

Did you ordered 75%?   The Original Concept for the 75% Plate is for MX-mini, does not guarantee different Bottom row Layouts of others as KC84.

I did not order a 75% this round, but seeing that the kc84 does not work with the sprit 75%, I will probally buy a pcb, case, and plate from you in r2. Did you ever consider making more layouts for the 75% pcb?

Hello!  Dear Justnits!  ;)

We are almost there for the Round 1 shipping,  But as I posted, PCB soldering remains, Each inspection, final check, Packing, check for the each Person's order, etc...  take much  longer time than expected.   I am sending simple parts orders, but even packing into boxes take quite efforts for me.
I guess sending 10 Boxes a day is not possible for me.  :(

I know there are lots of addition after the initial order.

any updates about round 1 orders? :)

Big Apology!!

Is it possible we can request ours unsoldered and solder them ourselves?

[)amien

Yes. I am doing this to try to take some pressure off Sprit.  I need the soldering practice.  :)  Do be aware though that the diodes are SMD, so you need to be reasonably comfortable with a soldering iron.

The 60% FaceW PCB board also supports through-hole diodes...but only SMD resistors (for use with LEDS):

This is a brilliant design by BeastMask, and how all PCBs should be designed, IMO.

You're welcome! ;D The image will be part of the "I-build-a-60%-keyboard" thread I'll start soon.

You only need one. SMD diode OR Through hole diode.
