does anyone have a picture of what the "frosty" color option looks like for the plate or case?

Shouldn't frosty be white in color, not blue? If you look in the OP, Sprit posted a pic called "1A 60% mini White 23 .jpg".. I think that top layer is frosty.

I'd link the pic, but i have no clue how :[

I'm still searching through for clear frosty vs white frosty.  Or is there only one frosty?

Does the plate allow for switch removal without desoldering? Could I use another 60% plate with this PCB?
According to pictures sprit has provided it looks like its switch removable. You should also be able to use another plate for the 60% such as a beast plate! Just remember if you use leds in your switches you cant remove them either way.

Unless you use SIP sockets, which I will be using on this board and would recommend.

Excuse my extreme ignorance but is there a particular type/spec of SIP socket to use?
Of course not all sip sockets are made to fit keyboards but many do like these ones: http://www.ebay.com/itm/3Pcs-Single-Row-40Pin-2-54mm-Round-Female-Pin-Header/140910386490?_trksid=p2052191.m2067&_trkparms=aid%3D555003%26algo%3DPW.CAT%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D23%26meid%3D3295674393841359663%26pid%3D100028%26prg%3D1009%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D221186042943%26 They are confirmed to work!

Thank you!  :thumb:

I've bought some from Taobao in China.

Does anyone know when Round 2 orders will end?

And just to double check, will the 60% PCB/metal plate fit a case made for the Poker II? (I read that it does for round 1, but I'm not sure if any changes have been made since then).

I just had another thought - does the teensy alignment on the PCB line up with the hole on the Poker II case? And what kind of teensy should I order for this anyways for that matter? (Model number)

Sorry first time ever building a board, and I have an extra Poker case lying around that I want to use but no experience whatsoever :p

You don't need a Teensy for this, the ATMega is already on the board.

Oh. So then all I would have to do is
1. solder in diodes
2. put a few switches in the plate and solder those to the pcb
3. put rest of switches in, soldering as a go

and if I wanted to make the whole keyboard backlit, I would solder switches in first, and then the LEDs?

Yes. Switch first, then LEDs. But if you want LED, you will have to solder resistors before you solder switches.
You don't need to solder resistors before switches. Why do you say that?

Because... I'm dumb? Because that's the order I usually do it. And after a second thought I realize the resistors are on the back of PCB and there's nothing to prevent you from soldering resistors even if you have plate and switches in place. My bad.

Quite a while. Sprit and his friends are handling this gigantic GB. Sorting, packing & soldering up diodes/resistors on PCBs take A LOT of time.
Most people are still waiting for their first round of orders.

Oh I see. So it will take at least about a year to a year and a half reasonably before the parts would arrive at my door?

Haha, hopefully not! Second round PCBs are supposedly factory pre-soldered, so it should help speed things up.

Round 1 is being hand soldered, due to not hitting MOQ req for factory pre-sodlered boards.

Round 2 will be. Round 1 was supposed to be but didn't meet MOQ for factory soldering so Sprit and his team are doing the SMD soldering by hand. That's part of the reason round 1 has stretched so long.

Are there resistors for all the switches? Or just caps lock/numlock, etc.

Hello!  Dear Guys!   ;)
When I am ready to ship each box,  I usually send PM and recheck the orders and address.
So there will be No surprise EMS at your door.
I am focusing on ship the orders as much as I can this month.  ;)

*  I have recovered from sickness and exhausted last month.    >:D >:D

Case Inspection almost done  -  I will post the Results.

-  It's Laser cut & CNC machined - Not perfect at all, but tried to get better within limits.
-  Cases will be shipped out full assembled -  I found it's much harder to pack unassembled.
-  The PCB only Orders will be shipped first,  then PCB +Case shipping.

What sort of layouts does the 60% PCB support? Will it support a Pure layout, with a shortened right shift, and alt, super, fn, and ctrl all on the bottom row right of the spacebar?  Also around when should we expect to see the round 2 PCBs shipping?

The bottom row layout could be either 1.25 1.25 1.25 6.25 1.25 1.25 1.25 1.25 or 1.5 1 1.5 7 1.5 1 1.5. So basically winkey layout and winkeyless layout. The right shift could either be 1.75 + 1 or 2.75.
