Can someone link me to a picture of what the 75% looks like?

I received my R2, 75% about a week ago. I can take pictures and post tomorrow.

Got my 60% PCB thanks Sprit! It was well packaged and the PCB was suspended with tape in the box to prevent damage, smart thinking. Hopefully I'll have my build together soon.

I don't have a Sprit case but I think it is just like most cases in that you put the screws through the screw holes in the PCB into the threads in the case. It may be a different kind of case in which in the PCB hangs and in that case(no pun intended) you need to attach the plate to the case. There should be screw holes in the plate and the case for you to attach it all together kind of like in an ergodox.

Here is a picture of a case in the first scenario:

More

See how it has threads for screws.

In this person's build of a Sprit kb he/she in fact screws the PCB into the case like I said. Keep in mind that there might be holes for screws on your PCB where there aren't threads for screws on your case and vice versa. Just put in screws where they line up.

More

Also pictures of the sprit case show threads for screws on the first page of this thread.

More

Just in case that is not how your case looks(I know there are a few versions of the sprit case), here is how you would do it the other way.

The plate might act as the top of the keyboard and then you would need to put screws through the holes on the plate and the rest of the layers of the case. For example you can see here how the screws go through the plate and all the way to the bottom of the case.

Hi thanks a lot for the explaination!! I've get it now, spirit gave me the thread but not the screw that's fits the thread (I've been trying the screw ment for the triangular leg for the thread) Seems like I've to get some screw for it, may I know the size of the screw?

So just got around to building it, and I think I got the wrong model?

I paid for a Model 2 slim, which is 2 layers and a plate.

I think I got a Model 1, which is 3 layers and a plate.

EDIT: Just measured the thickness. 24mm thick, which means I got the wrong order.

Isn't the Model 2 just the Model 1 - one of the middle spacers?

I'm not sure. If so I'm an idiot.

However, in the Model 2, it doesn't look like the upper plate is flush with the lower plate. While in my case, it's clearly a 3-layer design and everything is flush.

Orders w/ PCB & Case should contain the required standoffs & M.2 screws required to bolt the PCB down. If he forgot to pack those, you should email him for a reminder / visit your local hardware store where you should be able to find some.

I just thought I remembered reading about it somewhere in the past and thought I'd mention it. I didn't order a case so I didn't really pay close attention.

There is clearly 3 layers and a plate in my design, and I'd just like verification.

Neither do I. I received address confirmation PM some time ago, and no email or PM from him since then.

Sounds like he's spending more time on those 60%. Even round 2 people got their board, and I'm in round 1. :(

We talked about the order before new years, and you mentioned it would be faster if I could solder on the diodes myself. Haven't heard from you since.

I believe you can still put orders in. If not, Zeal is doing stuff as well. He should have the parts for the model 3 case. I'm on my mobile right now, so I really don't feel like linking it.

I don't see what options we have to be honest. I talked to the guy and it sounded as if my PCB was almost ready to be shipped if I could solder on some diodes myself. I said sure, and haven't heard from him since.. Tried contacting him through the site as well as through email. No response. All I can do is wait.

I ordered the case last Friday, and he got back to me with the invoice pretty quickly and confirmed my address. He told me he would have it out on Monday, but the posts I'm seeing here have got me pretty nervous.

It's sort of frustrating to have new orders processed so promptly but no updates on existing ones.
No doubt. I would definitely share your frustrations with the whole thing. It sucks for the people that have been waiting more than 45 days, as they can't get their money back through Paypal.
If only it was 45 days... a year and a month for me. :/
Very busy with studies atm.

We are on the same boat. It's unethical to leave our long awaited orders open while fulfilling new ones.

I think that more people should be vocal about this. It's honestly quite unfair in my opinion. I know that it's buyer beware, but ****, if the man can respond to my emails and take my money, then he can respond to people who's money he took a long time ago.

I agree. Most people frown upon this, but many are afraid to be vocal about it for various reasons. One argument, which I don't agree with, is that the GH60% group buy is taking just as long, if not longer.

I'll chime in. I've sent a PM and email to sprit with no response. I'm also part of R1. My inital order had 1 PCB, 1 aluminum plate (which I have found out fairly recently that the metal plates were scrapped and I prefer to have no plate than acrylic) and some springs from his other buy which he did message me saying that he still had remaining from R1 so it should be shipped with my order. No stabs ... no case. So I have been waiting this entire time basically for 1 PCB? Fun ...

Yeah same. I ordered just a case at the end of '13 and see everyone else getting their orders fulfilled. Its been many months since I've heard anything about my specific order. Sprit was VERY helpful and friendly though when I have spoken to him FWIW.

If you live in AZ you can try my keyboards. I usually keep plenty of different ALPS and MX and buckling springs.
