I'd like to make a public apology to Sprit.

Just got my keyboard today, and I definitely want to say that this GB has been a learning experience for me in terms of patience, and as well as judging people prematurely.

Since I slandered Sprit in a public forum, it's only fair that I make an apology the same way.

So.... Sorry Sprit! Will definitely take this as a learning experience moving forward. Hope you accept my apology.

I hate to be "that guy", but any chance of an update yet this week, Sprit?
Even if it's just "working on it", it's nice to hear something.

I guess I have to come out now as well.

I've received the first part of my order. The packaging was super awesome. The Gold Springs & Gold stabs are just pure KB pr0n. Very awesome stuff. I'm still waiting for the other parts.

For those that I threw under the bus, My apologies. It was just very tough to deal with after coming back on GH and realizing that all progress has stopped and I had quite the order.

Swill, Sprit, my most sincere apologies for being irrational at the time.

Sprit, let me know when you have an update on my order just for one last confirmation. I want to make sure you only have to ship once more for me =)

It has been 18 months and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY ORDER. Sprit continues to ignore my emails and other attempts to communicate with him.

TO PEOPLE THINKING OF JOINING THIS GROUPBUY: this is a scam, don't fall in the same trap I did and lose $400 to a scammer.

Email sent !

For the 75%, 87%, 110% PCBs,  the 3mm Hex Screws should be soldered along with MX Switches!   (You will know What i mean)
- The reason is : Not to loose the screws, and to make opening the plate and case Easier!   ;)

Not a scam. Just very very very slow. And it seems he's not handling orders in any particular order.. I've been waiting nearly a year now, and I'm in the last batch - if you've waited 18 months, something is clearly wrong with Sprits priorities :-)

I'm glad orders are getting fulfilled finally. And I'm glad Sprit has admitted he took too much on his plate with this group buy. I am patiently waiting for my order now, but it will be the last time I participate in a group buy.

Group buys are just too risky for my taste. I've participated in quite a few by now (6+) and I've only had 2 good experiences. Oddly enough one of them was with Sprit :p

Case Assemble Guide  :

There is a simple Assemble guide .   I try to peel the sheet off a bit before shipping.
Acrylic Plates and Cases are very transparent by itself.

Sorry for the quality of the pictures(Nexus 5), I will take some new ones with my GH3 later.

Parts I got from SPRiT except the Gaterons that I got from the GB here

Spring swapping (55g(?) to 78g)

Too excited, started placing switches in my plate(prototype for my group buy)

Got the switches OUT to place them in the corners instead(again too excited)

Everything is going alright now(nope, forgot the stabilisers)

Removed all the switches and the PCB and installed the stabilisers

Looking good

Everything looks great(notice the missing stabiliser on the backspace, facepalm)

I have no pictures of my soldering job or case assembly, but it went pretty well since I have soldered a lot before.

Looks great IMO. The bottom row LEDs are upside down emitting light into the case, because LEDs on the bottom row kills your eyes and doesn't help much.

The plate gives the Gateron some awesome clacks

Thanks SPRiT!

lillky is a ****boi

I debated responding to this, mostly because the point I want to make could risk making Sprit feel bad, which is not my intention.
Some of the stuff directed at Sprit has been WAY out of line.  Also, he's doing awesome now in progress and in communication.

However, as someone who ordered in Dec 2013, I'm totally sympathetic towards anyone's frustration.
I totally understand he was sick, and there's risk involved with group buys.
But, there was a period where it seemed he had just vanished, with no communication, and it's natural for people to get upset and lose their tempers.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is, let's not get personal here.  People on both sides of this could have handled it better.
Let's just move on.

Sprit, keep up the good work.  It was rough, and you had your reasons, but you're definitely rehabbing your image in my book.
lillky, you are probably not a ****boi, whatever exactly that is.

Yes!  Let's go to the Final point!    :thumb:

I felt saying I was sick might sound weak, trivial excuses,  But I felt I have to stand up to fight for myself during the missing 7 weeks (mid-Jan to early Mar).

Now I feel quite free to say in public  : " I am so sick to carry the duty this week. "

Thanks Guys!  For Cheering up!    ;)

Sprit, great to see products being shipped. Good job :-)

Could you shed light on what's keeping the remaining back? I for one have agreed to solder my PCB myself on several occasions, so I'm unsure what's left for you to do once you receive the PCB from the factory.
I understand others might like their PCBs soldered before shipping.

My order didn't include any cases, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Hello Guys!  ;)
I have been sick for 6 days. The doctor says its mainly from fatigue.
I had days off from my work, got enough sleep, feel a bit better today.
I will resume the shipping tomorrow!
Thanks!

Some PCB only orders in the list should shipped out earlier.  The list is sorted by group email orders, now i see the each details after updating and unification all the remaining orders.

YOW I am having a couple different reactions to this.
I don't know enough about your personal and work life to make any sort of judgement call, but this makes me wonder a couple things.

First, and this might piss some people off, but with your health at risk, I'd strongly suggest just refunding what orders you can.  It's not that I don't think you can complete them, but it's totally not worth the cost of your health.

Second, why on earth are you still taking orders on other buys?

Please don't take this the wrong way, but with some orders on this group buy 18+ months behind, and your health in jeopardy, give yourself some breathing room.

Again, I don't know your personal, work, or financial status, or what stake you have in this completing a certain way, but this whole thing makes me really uneasy.
PLEASE cancel my order even if you can't refund the money.  Or just ship out what is ready and forget the rest.  CRIPES I don't want a keyboard that is killing you.  It's not worth a few hundred dollars.

REALLY Cancel it and just forget the money if you have to.
I'm not saying anyone else should feel the same way, but I'll get by with the loss.

EDIT:  Just had to edit to make something clear.  If this whole thing is super important to you for financial reasons, I don't want this to come off as negative on your work ethic or abilities or whatever.  If you NEED this to be completed a certain way, then I'm sure you can do it.  Man, I just don't know...

EDIT 2:  Or another option, are there any locals that can help Sprit complete this on his terms?  This is just freaking me out on a number of levels, and I'm also a little worried my sentiment won't translate properly, if I've even made it clear in English.  Maybe French will be clearer:  Tell everyone to f*ck off and take care of your health.  Man...  Sorry if this whole rant is rude to anyone who really wants their keyboard.  The more I think about it the more it's creeping me out.

SPRIT: Take care of yourself first man! Keyboards for people are not worth your health. We'll live. I think Dansor and I agree on this.

Seriously though, take an extra few days / weeks / months if you need to. don't put yourself through this fatigue.

That said: We Love you Sprit, I know you will do what's best and I support you all the way.

SPRIT: Take care of yourself first man!

YES YES YES YES THIS x 1,000
Well said, straight to the point, and much clearer than my mindless rambling.

To my mind, this is a community of like-minded hobbyists, coming together to share a nerdy passion.
Quite frankly, if someone thinks their money or keyboard is more important than your health, then they are a crummy part of that community.

I've had my own frustrations, but frankly there's no assurance and certainly no time limit on these group buys. You've fulfilled a ton of orders and put in a ton of work; way more than you should have to.

Anyway, I'll start rambling again, so instead:
Much love, take a break, come back to it when and if you can, take it slow, don't listen on the off chance anyone gives you heat. You've got a ton of happy "customers", a ton of KB friends, are a valued member of this community.

My dog wants a belly rub so I have to go take care of that. You take care of you.

SPRiT is a good friend for me above anything else and I love when I see people thinking like this, people and their health always come first ! This is the spirit of this community, I'm glad to see it is not lost  :thumb:

Well whatever, just give me a sign, sprit, I don't like to be in the unknowing about what you intend to do with my order after giving you my bucks...

Still don't have my keyboard over a year and a half after paying $400+...

Basically the cycle goes like this:

1. I PM and email Sprit to get updates on the situation, which he ignores

2. With no other options and as a last resort, I come to this thread and complain in public, which warrants a single placating, bull**** response from Sprit about how the order is all ready and all he has to do is ship it out.

3. No reply for another 3-4 weeks.

Repeat.

Now he's talking about health issues. Well if your health issues are so bad that you cant make a trip to the post office for the package you've "had ready to ship" for over a year, you probably shouldn't have started a massive groupbuy in the first place.

99% chance this is just a scam.

Sorry to rub salt in the wound iliky, but I just received my package today. Don't know where in the stack my order was in relationship to yours, but I hope yours arrives very soon.

I have to agree there really is a burden of proof on sprit, since supposedly he started assembling my board a month ago promising to send photos soon, which hasn't happened until today... I mean how long could it possible take to assemble a single board when you are confident enough to handle that lot? Also no visible progress has been made in the updates since the 10th of may!

People have been receiving their stuff just very slowly with gaps of no communication. Sprit just seems to be busy with life.
If you live in AZ you can try my keyboards. I usually keep plenty of different ALPS and MX and buckling springs.

I have to agree with this statement. Let us take a look at a message I received from Sprit back in December 2014:
Hello!
110% PCBs' controller parts installed and firmware test done. Only need to solder diodes for 110 Switches.
Its quite simple job but takes a couple of hours time.
So sorry for that !
If you are OK for solering diodes, i am shipping enough 2 types of diodes with PCBs.

To which I responded I was OK with soldering on the diodes myself. So yea.. PCB controller parts done, firmware test done, diodes to be done by me. What's left? Packing and shipping. When can I expect the PCB? Nobody knows..

Being ill is fair enough, **** happens. But the communication is just horrible! What I've been told does not match reality. My PCB can't have controllers installed and firmware tested, and still need 6 months work. It's just not possible. I don't think my PCB was anywhere near ready when I received that message. I believe I have been lied to. The alternative would be that Sprit had the PCB ready back in December 2014, and just decided not to ship it during all his trips to the post office with your boards.
