[IC] KeyKobo - Sacred Timeline | Add kittings and new novelties.

KeyKobo - Sacred Timeline

IC FORM: https://forms.gle/ZhQ4UgNQzqBdTELy6

Inspired by the TVA organization from the Loki TV series.
The background of the story is the trend and design style that became popular in the 1970s.
The color of alpha is the T-shirt by the variant, and the mod is the color of the jacket, to express the change of identity.
The novelty keys are decorated with the "retro is the future" idea in the series and cassette futurism elements.
And used space cadet, which is more in line with people's longing for space in the 1970s.

Wasn't the keycap set they used in the show a clone of gmk carbon?

Well, this set is a way to follow the style of both the show and the set they "borrowed" while both being unique and referencing the show. Pretty nice.

By the way, are the sub legends going to be triple shot or is KKB still holding off on that?

The info section mentions pad printed sublegends.

EDIT: Well, happily it doesn’t any more!

Triple-shot sublegends
Double-shot + Pad print novelties.
Of course we will include stickers for the transparent cap to achieve more possibilities :thumb:

I'm so happy to see them move on to triple shot. That just gives them yet another edge on the competition. KKB has been really stepping it up

Looks interesting. What about making orange keys which are not semi transparent?

Oh man, I really dig this! Giving me Skidolcha vibes! Hope you're planning on having normal mods & those crazy keys are in the novelties though.

1. add accented (orange) iso enter in base. every basekit offering terminal ISO also provides accents in base without locking it to a very specific regional layout.
2. fullsize/1800 are recently getting more popular in the hobby, might consider adding numpad in base (like every base kit should, I might add).

there's a lot of keys you can remove or group into existing child kits:
- relegendables can go in the novelty or mix alpha kits
- 40s support can be made into a separate kit with proper accents and expanded support
- R3 pgup + R4 pgdn can be safely removed

I always use R3/4 Up and Down if the board has a blocker/badge tho lol. Boards I use it on currently are my Corsa, Forever65, Loki65. Boards that I have coming that will be using it include the Time65 so far (Unless something else with a right blocker/Badge comes out that is cool)

Per messages in KeyKobo discord, they have apparently raised MOQ for 40s kits to 250 which will be challenging to meet for any future KKB set. As such it's 3 or 4 key 40s support in the base or nothing. This is not a happy development.

Wait, so you think a separate 40s kit will reach its 250 MOQ?
