Has anyone ever successfuly acquired topre key(s)?
« on: Thu, 25 June 2009, 14:44:38 »
If anyone has ever successfully acquired topre key(s) (ie, "replacement" keys, either individually or as a set, either for HHKB or any other realforce model), can you please post the seller and approximate cost/fees/shipping information and any special instructions that you had to follow, in the wiki?

There's a lot of similar info for cherry keys in the wiki, but nothing for topres.

There's also a generic 'buyers guide' entry in the wiki, but its largely empty.

May be best to start a new page there, called "topre keys" or maybe more broadly "topre purchasing" (if you want to include info on buying entire topre boards and not just keys...) or "topre reference" if you want to include info on what versions have what weight keys and what layouts...

Thanks!

I had a friend in Korea get Topre keys for me from Leopold.co.kr, who then cross-shipped them to me here in the USA.

They're really great to work with if you're in Korea.

I bought a 55g Realforce 87U, 2 blue WASD sets, 2 red escape keys, and a keyboard roof for the HHKB. Those all shipped for about $35 to NYC, and arrived within 5 days.

question - how are non-korean speaking, non-korean reading, keyboard fans successfully ordering anything from leopold?
As far as I can tell on their site, there is no english version.
http://www.leopold.co.kr/

Can someone who has successfully bought from them, tell us something of the procedure?

Do you just email them (webmaster@leopold.co.kr) and hope someone who knows english comes on the line?

thanks...

There is a company like cresent that will buy from Korea for you.
I actually almost bought some stuff from leopold through them.
I am looking through my emails to find out who they were.

http://www.buyfromkorea.kr/
It was going to be $80 for 2 sets of wasd keys and 2 red escape keys.
So I passed.
