GUIDELINES FOR LINKING YOUR AUCTIONS
(1/1)
Moderation Team:
This subforum was created for the purpose of succinctly linking your externally-hosted auctions to bring them to other users' attention.
Geekhack.org no longer allows auctions to be hosted on its domain, but as a compromise, geekhack members may link their own auctions hosted on eBay in this subforum. While the Great Finds subforum allows for links to auctions for what one may think is a bargain deal or a rare find, we discourage members from pointing to their own auctions there. Now, if you are selling your keyboard (as an example) on eBay to gain some extra seller protection, you can post a link to your own auction here to give it more exposure.
PLEASE NOTE that this subforum exists only for auction links and brief discussion--conducting actual auctions here is not allowed!
Posting Guidelines:
* Be descriptive with your thread titles - you can mirror your auction's title.
* If you are restricting shipping to your own country or else wish to note your location, you can do so in your thread title with a prefix, such as "[US]" or "[DE]". This is an optional courtesy for other users' convenience.
* Once your auction closes, please note so in your thread's title, adding a prefix "[CLOSED]" to the beginning. For example, "[CLOSED][US] Razer Blackwidow Ultimate keyboard."
* Keep discussion relevant to the auctioned item(s) as much as possible.
* No bidding and discussion about adding a "Buy It Now" option" is allowed. You can, however, ask about item details, condition, shipping terms, etc. Those questions can also be asked via "Ask a Question" option on eBay's auction page.
Disclaimer: at the discretion of the moderator reviewing your post(s), discussion which belongs in another subforum is subject to being moved without advance notice, with a temporary redirect link being left in its place. Posts that violate rules and/or carry no on-topic relevance may be subject to deletion. These guidelines are subject to change in response to community needs (in which case, retroactive corrections may be performed "as they are discovered" if the link is still valid).
This thread is open for discussion if you have any questions the greater community may share, or you may feel free to PM one of the moderators.
As with other subforums, posts can be reported here. If someone appears to be breaking either an overall site-wide rule, or one of the guidelines listed above, please report it and it will be addressed.
