Hello Geekhack community! I am brand new (about two months) to the mechanical keyboard community and hobby, and just got my Ducky One 2 SF in the mail this week. I thought that after typing on it for a couple days it would be a good time to officially announce my joining the community here as I work to grow my knowledge (and empty my wallet).
I'm a graduate student on the west coast, and thought that I might as well make my study from home experience a more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing one with a nice mech and desk mats (TKC's Islander and boba tea are on order) for this fall as I anticipate that I will be doing more writing assignments than I ever have due to remote classes.
Having lurked around various forums and watching youtube reviews of mechanical keyboards for about two months, I can tell that this is definitely the new hobby I'll be taking with me for many years to come. I am excited to eventually take on building my own custom mech, once I have tinkered a bit with this Ducky board and learned what I like and dislike. Looking forward to talking and sharing some of the journey with you all!
