Are all the extra kits sold out?

Have friends in the community received the invoice for purchasing extra kits?

Haven’t heard of any yet

Got my invoice for extra - are those waiting on PCB to ship as well? Did the invoice price include shipping?

Thanks!

A couple questions:

1. Has anybody tried both the dcrbon fiber and the FR4 plates? How would you say it differs both in terms of feel and sonically?

Does anybody have any plans for their extra PCB or know if LZ plans to share the case files? Perhaps considering attempting to make an acrylic or POM case.

Did anyone get invoices for extra plates/PCBs yet? I've not received one.

Also, I submitted the Google form but never got a confirmation. Odd. Hope I haven't missed out!

This may sound stupid but how do i put this PCB in DFU/bootloader mode? There is no reset button and I have tried all the different shortcuts to no avail. I am dumb, found out theres a reset button in the layer.

You are not dumb. I've been asking if there is a keycombo to press while booting to get into dfu but haven't gotten an answer from hineybush or lz.
If you somehow fudge up the keymap you might need to be able to get it into dfu some other way.

I think it was definitely somewhere in the comments they posted it. But wish it was in the first post. fn+r is what you are looking for and I think QMK has some standards on how to get into reset mode (such as holding Esc when plugging it in)

Finally built mine yesterday. I would recommend anyone with this keyboard to remove the weight.

With the weight it felt as if the switch pins were resting on the weight resulting in a harsh bottom out. Not at all what I had anticipated with a PA plate. Moreover, the sound profile of the vintage browns was not what I had expected either. They sounded high pitched and harsh. Given the absence of flex, despite a very soft plate, I decided the weight must be too close for comfort, so I removed it. Everything immediately turned out just they way I had foreseen it with a pleasing sound signature and a nicely bouncy feel.

Great little keyboard, LZ!

the new PCB samples were approved at the end of last week, so they should be assembling/shipping the rest of them in the next 1-2 weeks. I'm not sure if there will be a delay from the upcoming Chinese National Day holiday, but it's possible.

Hey guys, please excuse this absolute basic question: Should the Caps Lock light work without any additional programming once soldered? Trying to work out if I've made a mistake in soldering or potentially have some faulty LEDs. Thanks!

Mine worked after soldering. Shouldn’t need to do anything else. Try desoldering and switching the LED wires opposite how you have them now.

So it seems my Physix has developed a problem. If I touch the case of the board, it sometimes does a quick USB disconnect/reconnect. Happens when I walk up and touch it, and it sometimes happens just as I'm typing along.

I suspect the issue is caused by static electricity, but it seems to be a new problem, somehow. We went through the worst of the cold and dry season here with worse static without any issues. Now, in the past week or two, this happens fairly often.

Anyone else having a similar problem? Any ideas about fixes or workarounds for it?

Remove weight, put paper instead of weight, or perhaps wrap USB port with electrical tape
