I'm betting it's going to be a good Black Friday for GPUs... Finally.

Yeah, their prices recently are through the roof.
Also, power gain in latest generation of cards are terrible, I mean, they are like 20-30% more than previous 30xx gen in green camp, am I right?
Before we saw 40-50% every iteration. I'm hoping 50xx series will have bigger gain - what do you think LeslieAnn?

Leslieann:
Moore's law is dead, you're going to have to get over the 40-50% expectation, it's done. Same for CPUs.

I highly doubt 50 series is going to be a return to that, it's a tech limitation. Maaaaybe they'll pull a rabbit out of their hat one last time but those days are pretty much over. We need a technological leap or massive change to how we compute to really improve computers as a whole at this point.

I think 50% is possible, AMD needs to light the fire though..

Does it mean its dead end now? We wont get any faster GPUs? Shrinking dies has come to an end. They need new technology to get it better now?

It means more and more diminishing returns.
And yes, shrinking dies are coming to an end unless you plan on atom scale transistors.
