Check it.

Looks like this one has some custom keycaps.  However, it does look to be in good shape.

That guy sells a lot of keyboards, and usually cleans them first, which is a good sign.

I thought the AT version was not as desirable. Am I mistaken - I believe xspaht posted about that.

If you read the description, it's not actually an AT board.  It's PS/2.

It's too easy and too cheap to switch AT to PS/2, so I don't think I posted about that.

What I was talking about was the first really huge IBM AT keyboards. They are just tanks and didn't even have arrow keys so I don't think they are compatible with Mac since the num lock key does nothing.

Did real Model Ms even come in AT? I know they came in RJ and PS/2, but that's all I know of.

Yep, the first Model Ms (the one with the square silver box with the IBM logo on the right) did come with a black cable and AT connector, like this one: http://www.clickykeyboards.com/index.cfm/fa/items.main/parentcat/9230/subcatid/0/id/349091

It's been too long...

I think Brandon had one of those funny spacesavers for sale a while back.  As well as the key printing, it's interesting that they have the wider keys shaped like single unit keys.  Yeah, those keys are more associated with the 80-odd key AT and especially PC/XT keyboards, but they were also used on 122 key terminal Ms for a bit, like Model Fs before them.  Never seen them on a 101 though, well, except when I tried it out myself...

On the subject of "real" AT keyboards, this one seems to have gone unnoticed at $15: http://search.ebay.com/380027480655  No affiliation whatsoever.  They're good fun, very noisy, though the spacebar on mine is probably a little too firm.

Yikes... that keyboard on ebay went for $182 plus shipping. Is that reasonable... made me gasp.

Reasonable is a very relative word, but yeah, it's not uncommon. Same for the M13, which (I don't own one) I hear is not as nice as most regular 1391401's (but hey, it's black!).

As long as you don't mind the numpad, a regular model M is always a sure bet for an awesome keyboard at a good price (often way cheaper than any new crap you could buy in the store.
