No, there were about half that were leftovers from the 2nd batch and the other half was from the recent opening of the order form.

I don't think you will be disappointed, I have an Orion v2 and its amazing.

I actually don't even know what the alu bottom is like, I have both acrylic bottoms because the light is something I bought the board for and the alu bottom doesn't show enough

We shall find out. I tried a full aluminum Orion at a meetip and I really like the sturdy, weight of it vs the acrylic bottom
 I am a touch typist so I rarely look towards my keyboard during normal use.

I had some issues with a row of switches not working when I put mine together - F1, 1, q, a were all not working until I retouched some diodes and the controller. Not sure what the problem was but after I added a tiny bit more solder to the controller legs they worked. Anyone else experience this problem? Seemed kind of weird, I've never had an issue with factory solder before.


RE: alu bottom vs acrylic angled - both have their place. I have angled acrylic on my Orion and alu on my Octagon. I do like how the RGB light spills out from underneath the board on the Orion. On the Octagon, the underglow light is only visible at the edges of the board, and without a triangular insert I don't really see the RGB light when typing from above. Even the acrylic side inserts don't do a whole lot unless looking at the board from the side. Right now I just have it matched to my LED color, since the alu and keys are both black and my switch LEDS are orange-red.

If there is even the slightest possibility of increasing the lot size by even 10 more, that would be amazing. This is one cool board that I sure wouldn't want to miss out on.  You're organization on these buys is incredible. I know its alot harder than you make it look. Makes it that much harder for me knowing you have such a good grip on how to make this all work.

Note - I don't personally own an Octagon v2

This is how I map my keys since the lightsaver v1.  I don't imagine the octagon v2 being any different but you can give this a try.  It's a bit of redirecting but hopefully it helps as long as the octagon also uses the atmega32U4 chip.
