Thanks a lot
« on: Wed, 06 May 2015, 03:02:58 »
Two months ago I started looking for a replacement for my Model M (looking for something less noisy) and all my searches ended on this forum. Thanks to the forum and some advise from wsjudd (keyboardco) I purchased a Majestouch for my daily work. It's perfect, but I get caught up in the clutches of GH and I've read a lot.

Today I finished building a custom 60% keyboard with Matias Quiet switches (nice and silent!) and some parts from an old Focus and a 3EUR ****ty apple keyboard I got from a gipsy mate in town (it had nice PBT dye-sub keycaps!).

This post is to thank you all for providing awesome diy-fun. It has been great to read about switches, keys, wiring, Matias commitment to the mech typers, compile hasu's firmware (it's been a while without touching C code)...

I'm so happy to  discover you all. Thanks a lot and keep the spirit.

Thanks Yoe, fanpeople and Hzza :thumb:

Sadly, I do not own that keyboard anymore. Went to check if the varnish was dry and the keyboard disappeared. It seems it found a new home on my wife's desk  :)
I think she'll be the best beta-tester of this 60% layout.
