So, how do you like the leopold?

I goofed a bit with mine and ordered the version with mx blues, the extra click drives me nuts (only other thing qtan had in stock at the time was reds and I really wanted something with tactile feedback).  So, other than my poor choice of switches, I think keypad itself is pretty sweet, the compact foot print is great, feels solid (switches are plate mounted), minimal branding, etc.

I'm pretty sure it's the $3000 of gold keycaps that make the picture, but maybe that's just me.

Those of you with the Leopold keypads: I recall reading in a few other threads that there was an issue with them in that they registered the number row keys instead of the numpad keypresses. Has that been fixed on newer versions of their keypad?

if only they sold arrow keys separate! i'd probably get rid of my number pad and just have arrow keys on the left side. sure, i can just turn off numlock and have arrows but the 3700 is so big ;_;

And a serial connector?  A true classic :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Apparently these came with either a serial (KPX-17S) or a parallel (KPX-17P) connector. They were made by Genovation for Alps.
