Do the PCBs come with presoldered diodes?

ik this is off topic but is there any way you can do a RSII, that layout was one of my ideals and i missed the RSIII and while this looks great, It's just not the layout for me lol. On a related note, HOW do you run so many GB's it really is a service to the communities especially as i know you are active here and on DT. (not sure if you are on /r/MK at all tho.) Keep up the good work!

You can use Qtan or TaoBao to proxy a RedScarf II

Yeah international shipping from USA on one of these would be like $60. This is why I sticking to USA only as it simply doesn't make sense to send these out from the USA. Maybe someone in the EU or whatever wants to act as proxy partner. I'm sure we could get something arranged.

The "Thin Metal Frame" looks great.  This is a solid looking board.

Europeans please post here, so we can figure out if there's enough europeans buyers to make an arrangement with Ivan or if we stick to personnal proxies.
In the meantime I asked a quote from qtan.

I'd be in for one special edition.

I was debating on whether or not I wanted to get qtan to proxy an RSIII for me, then i found this.

Now, do i want a regular or special edition?

I would be using pcb mount switches, should I get the plate for extra rigidity or would just the PCB be alright?

The redscarf II was an Atmega 32u4, probably the same for this and the III.

I could probably get DHL to pick a few for us, from Ivan, in the EU for not a lot of money, if thats an option? If not, I will be buying an Ortholinear keyboard

Well, for Global Business mail, its cheap. But if Ivan doesn't want to do that, I understand. I think the best bet is to wait to see if Qtan responds, I understand its a US only GB and I don't want to cause any trouble :)

If someone wants to take it on, I am pretty sure we can arrange to have them shipped directly to 1 person in Europe to redistribute just the same as I am doing for USA.

Sorry guys but I can't answer much technical question about these. It does use Atmega controller as these have TMK based firmware. Looking at the PCB it does appear to have possibility of using a 2.75 right shift if you wanted to.

It shouldn't be that much, 20 dollars or so per unit. We are changing from DHL though soon.

Well we should calculate what would be the cheapest options for us. Ordering through this GB or qtan.

I am just thinking out loud at the moment, as I said, we are updating our shipping methods and changing our shipping supplier, so I am not sure if we will still be using DHL and therefore can get a decent price for shipping once the GB is over.

OMG!  Is this what puberty feels like?  I suddenly find myself having strange new urges.  I keeping changing my mind.  I'm feeling irrational.

I thought I wanted a KUL ES-87.  Then I thought I'd wait a while to see how well the Matias Ergo Pro was reviewed.  Then I see the RS84 and now I want this.  With the exception of ErgoDox (I haven't yet), I thought I was too new to the hobby to get involved with customs.  There are many stock boards for me to pursue.  Hell, I haven't even touched an Alps or Topre switch yet.

I've never involved with custom keyboards before and I have so many questions.

Is the choice of 5mm or 8mm bezel simply a matter of aesthetics or are there other considerations?

Can the feet be placed at the front of the keyboard (under R1) or does the case only allow them on the back of the keyboard?

I need negative tilt on my board.  Can the case accommodate a 90 degree mini connector and will that give me enough clearance to tilt my keyboard without putting strain on the USB connector?

If I understood the OP correctly, the cost for the base kit, feet, plate, and shipping is $140.  Is that correct?

If I want to change switches after assembly, is it simply a matter of opening them and replacing the springs and sliders?  Having the ability to try Gaterons, then swap out internals and try Ergo Cherry MX Clears or MX Jailhouse Blues could more than justify the cost of this board.

P.S.  Also, why only 16 colors on LED?  Corsair RGB has 16 point 8 million!

Sorry, I couldn't resist asking that last question.

Damn.... This board looks amazing... I wish I knew how to solder or had the tools to do so lol... Kinda new to this whole thing, maybe I should invest into a soldering kit first before I start collecting these haha  :))
What is love.... Baby don't hurt me... No more!!

I really want one of these boards before I get an Atomic I've decided.

Can we get a recall for EU people then?

There are plenty of fine folks here at GH that would be willing to assemble a kit for you!

I haven't read much about the RedScarf keyboards personally, could anyone tell me if they're programmable? I do love the 75% form factor...

Not 100% sure, so would also be interested in a confirmation, but this page indicates that it uses a Atmel 32U4 and is fully programmable.
