Hello fellow keyboardists
« on: Wed, 10 October 2012, 02:26:39 »
Hello all
Spoke to geek_feng through ebay regarding some of the wares on offer and I was recommended to use the group buys on here. I must say the site looks amazing and I can't believe some of the keyboards o.o
Currently using a filco tkl w/ browns, but I am undecided if to drop the money on a HHKB; i'm sure it won't take long.

Without further ado;

Welcome to Geekhack!

You have no idea how much money you are about to lose ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Welcome to GH. I've heard HHKB's typing feels better than Realforce from a lot of KBDMania people.

I recommend getting Realforce tho. HHKB's design is hard to get used to it.
Well.. up to u tho lol
