Hi guys,
I was busy last weekend sorting the screws and counter sinking the TOP/BOTTOM. Yes I digged thousand of hole. ;)
Tomorrow I would get all the stuff on hand and ship all by Thursday.
I was hopping this would be a X-MAS present for you but sorry about one week delay.
Now I am hopping this would be a NEW YEAR celebration. :)
Thank you for waiting.

Hey guys,
I am very sorry about saying that I could not ship today(12/24), it's X-mas season. :(
I WILL ship them all on next Monday(12/28).

I spent an hour in the post office yesterday (12/23) trying to send a letter.

Sending all these keyboards like that would be an absolute nightmare.

Can anyone confirm the board in the pic in the OP has 98 switches?  I have a bag of 100 Zealios so if I've counted that right my ISO build will need every one of them.  If I can't count after a handful of beers I might be a couple short, and that would just be annoying :-\

I have a bag of 100 Zealios so if I've counted that right my ISO build will need every one of them.

I always buy a few extra switches just in case.  Taking into account the excessive chattering that seems to occur with many Zealios I'd look into ordering some more if I were you.

I wasn't intending to build a full size when I bought the Zealios, was thinking they would go on the alphas of a 60% and my JD40 but this was too shiny!  I also have 20 linears so if some do turn out bad (non removable switch tops :-X) I can swap them in, but most importantly I have 100 purple stems so all good :thumb:

I am actually a little confused when it comes to assembly, the stabalizers especially.

I assumed they are mounted first, and then the plate is?  Doing this leaves a littel space between the plate and the PCB.  This is normal correct?  The switches themselves leave a little space between PCB and Plate when locked it.

Image:

This is correct, right? The plate will go over, I will solder every switch in, then I close it up in the case, right?

That is correct, the switches themselves will hold the plate and PCB together. Just make sure you snap in all your switches good, I tend to like to put a switch in all four corners to start.

With a small space between plate and PCB like this?

Sorry for asking so many questions, but this is kinda different from my last build and I'd hate to have to desolder everything after I finish.

Yeap that's how you do, just always make sure to do a last minute check that all switches are level and snapped in corrrectly before you start soldering. I made that mistake once... :-[

Sorry for asking so many questions, but this is kinda different from my last build and I'd hate to have to desolder everything after I finish.

Yeap that's how you do, just always make sure to do a last minute check that all switches are level and snapped in corrrectly before you start soldering. I made that mistake once... :-[
I know what its like getting caught up on the excitement of a build

Thank you for the assistance.

Here it is with all switches snapped in.  Gonna have to take another look at that bottom row, not sure about spacing. And I am still on the fence about that split spacebar.  I want it, but getting keycaps for it will be hell.

Anyway, I will solder it and probably be done this time tomorrow (if I don't run out of solder, only got one small spindle  :D).

I absolutely love greens.  I was considering getting some gateron blues and switching springs since they are so highly praised, but it ended up being way to expensive to get them here.

I'm both simultaneously loving and hating your update pics.  Looks great, but I want mine NOW dammit  :p

No problem, split spacebar does seem pretty interesting but it would definitely be harder finding compatible caps. Best of luck on your build, it's nice seeing the progress pics. :thumb:

It appears that the plate does not support switch top removal, you would have to desolder the switch and pop it out.

Just tried it on my  metal plate.  Looks like a negative.

Might be able to work one or two open if you had to, but any more than that and it'd be easier to desolder everything.
