...And I am still on the fence about that split spacebar.  I want it, but getting keycaps for it will be hell.

I've been waiting on some PCB mount stabs for the spacebar on a board I finished about a month ago and have been using a 2u blank for a while, and I definitely like the solid feel of a smaller spacebar. Glad you said something, now I know what to spend my excess funds on for my round 6 order   :p

Aw man, I just realized I have no LEDs for the notification lights.

Would starting the board up without them hurt it?  Otherwise I have to wait awhile to actually get my hands on some.

It won't do any damage at all to the PCB, you should be just fine to turn it on.

Would any 3mm LED work?  Such as this: http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B00E4F9N5A/

Yes those should work fine, however if you ever wish to put any in your switches they need to be flangeless(minus the protruding rim at the bottom). I personally like 2x3x4mm LEDs since they tend to be brighter but that won't matter too much for just the indicators.

Yea I made that mistake on my ergodox.

Actually cut them down to fit with a dremel though.  But I only needed 3, not 98.

Yeah I made the same mistake as well when adding LEDs to my Pok3rs. I was actually able to clip them off with a pair of small wire cutters but I suggest wearing eye protection, I got a piece of plastic stuck in my and I thought I was going blind.

That sounds absolutely terrifying.

I ordered a pack like that 100 count one.  I figure I will do the notification LED and the ESC key for now.  Will leave the rest for another day.

Thanks for all the help.  Will post completed pictures tomorrow hopefully.

So here it is

Didn't put all the screws in (CAUTION:Those plastic ones strip easy as ****, be careful) because I have to open it up in a few days (for LEDs), but it all seems to work.

No clue how to work the JigOn software.  Tinkered for a minute or two but couldn't figure it out.  Will give it another shot when I finally close it up. Thinking Deep Space caps...

Haha I hate to say this, since I'm very regretful about it but I did pass on this group buy. However I do have a board that uses the same firmware(TX87). I haven't messed around with it too much but have got the hang of it a bit. My favorite thing about the software is once you get the board connected(simply by clicking Keyboard -> Connect) then any switch you press is then highlighted on the layout display. So I just press through each switch and then assign each key to whatever I like. I am waiting for leeku to to give an update allowing in-switch brightness control and MX Lock compatibility, then I'll be in complete love with the software. It's probably the easiest software that I have used.

Oh....I missed the whole keyboard connect thing...

I will give it another shot when I get back home, running to yodobashi to pick up some LEDs.

These actually:

A little pricey, but Amazon wants me to wait a month, and I am dieing to use this thing.

Holy **** did I have a seizure when writing that haha, I fixed it in my post but I obviously had two different sentences in mind and tried to combine them. Yeah those LEDs are pretty pricey but if it saves you a month then I can definitely understand.

For the most part,

1. Connect the Keyboard
2. Press the Key you want mapped (highlights the key, don't mind if it doesn't look like it is the correct position)
3. Press the key you want it mapped to (will overwrite the old one)
4. Update All

Yea, I got it now, thanks. Missed out on the connect part.

I'd take a picture, but it just has the qwerty keys and 1u blanks for the rest right now.  Got about a week before the rest of the keyset comes in.

So here are some more pictures, please excuse the half blank/half grab bag keyset I have on it.

To start, here are my JigOn settings.  Set to solid white (5 minute timeout) with default layout except for the removal of the FN key (only using one layer at this time):

First is the bottom.

Side view (not a lot of light coming out, but a strong underglow):

Top View:

Notification LEDs(actually two lit here, but some brightness issues with camera.  Glow is considerably brighter than rest of baord):

Just to kind of ease some of the concerns with the keymapper, as others have stated above it's extremely easy to use and I have had no issues with it at all. I've been using it with my TX-1800 and it was super simple.

I bought it off of a user who got it from Leeku who I assume got it from Kin25 (seeing as he fulfilled KR orders and Leeku is part of that community)

Just to kind of ease some of the concerns with the keymapper, as others have stated above it's extremely easy to use and I have had no issues with it at all. I've been using it with my TX-1800 and it was super simple.

May i ask where u got your TX-1800 From?

I bought it off of a user who got it from Leeku who I assume got it from Kin25 (seeing as he fulfilled KR orders and Leeku is part of that community)

Oh ok cool, thought you might of been the only non-Korean to get an order from kin. if that was the case i'd tell you to go buy a lottery ticket.

Yeah unfortunately I lost my deposit like the rest of you and ended up paying a bit more than I would have (although this was fully assembled and has a acrylic diffuser between the aluminum bodies so it was worth it for how amazing the keyboard is) so it hurt my wallet a lot but I really really wanted one so I'm so happy to have it.

If anyone can figure out JigOn RGB effects, let me know.  I can only seem to get it to do a slow pulse, and I can't change it.

Hey Leeku,

Any chance I can get an extra PCB and possibly an acrylic plate?

What options did you get?

Black acrylic top, acrylic plate, clear acrylic bottom. Also added the aluminum feet option.

Need to see if I can get an extra plate and PCB though.  Hoping I can.

Agreed.  I like mine a lot more than I expected.

If I could I would get all three of the tops and another board.

I can't decide on led color.  White, pink or cyan?  Will be using OG cherry beige or OG dolch

I think white always looks nice, even if it is a bit more plain.

I think cyan would look good, but what do I know I'm a dirty cat lover :(

Yeah white is nice.  Maybe I'll just get the sip sockets

I didn't put LEDs in except for my ESC key which is white.

I mean, worst comes to worst, aren't there lots of colored covers you can put on to change the color?

Or you could try SIP sockets.
