Design and inspiration
Inspired from a poster (I love it) that my best friends gave to me for my birthday a couple of years ago.

The poster itself is from NASA/JPL.
The Grand Tour is the route the Voyager 2 spacecraft took to visit all four outer planets. It's a flight plan that's possible every 175 years for the alignment of the outer planets of our solar system.

My friend Alessandro Maranta worked on the novelties design and he made a great job.

Speaking of manu, this would probably be great through infinikey given their history with similar coloured sets (see: Infinikey Pastel).

as somebody who's loved space since i was very young, this set looks great! it's made me want to go out and buy the poster to match.

i personally think this set would look really good in pbt, would make it a lot more accessible too. (there's also no reverse dyesub needed which could have limited pbt options if present.)

Like it so far; the design is really clean and straightforward.

Biggest concern is the legibility of yellow-on-white legends for the shift keys. It kind of works on the novelty, where there's enough yellow to visually process, but it's much harder to pick up on the thin font and lines of the mods. Maybe swap it out for another color?

I'm always a sucker for the space aesthetic, this set is exceedingly classy and minimal.  I'd recommend maybe reaching out to cannonkeys and seeing if they can work with you with CC.

Very interested, and I love your story around the set.  The four planets makes this a must-buy for a 65% board. 

The only thing missing is a novelty with an image of Voyager 2 itself.  Perhaps as a brass artisan?  It's a cool looking spacecraft that is very recognizable. 

The Gold Record with sounds from Earth, compiled by Carl Sagan, would also be really cool.

Cute set! Although in the first render, it looks like the ESC key is the wrong color as it's green instead of red? Which color is it supposed to be?

 I hope you'll add a 40s kit, as well as scooped F and J keys! The novelties are very cute, although it seems to be geared towards only 65% keyboards. I'd love to see the planets as novelties for the bottom row too.

Also very interested in the PizzaKeyboard!

Base color update

Hello there!
Thank you all for your interest and advice, right now I'm trying to figure out what you like best (about kitting,novelties and manufacturer).

Grand Tour will be Cherry profile, so no KAT or SA sorry.

Meanwhile (seeing the comments and responses to the form) there seems to be a request to darken the base color a little.
I've made the same render with a more creamish color.

I think the new color is more suitable and i like it better.
In the next days i will update renders.

My intention is to draw inspiration from the poster, not to have a perfect match. Not to mention that having the same colors on plastic is virtually impossible.

This is beautiful. I love it. Simple but fun. I think it would lend itself well to pbt since it's darker colored legends on a light base. Also, I don't have any pbt keycaps, and I've spent way too much on GMK sets this year, so I wouldn't complain about the lower cost of pbt. Interested either way though! I personally liked the lighter base color, but I don't dislike the new, creamier color. Still looks great!

FWIW, I think this would work very well in PBT. My preference would be EPBT, as this set would most likely not require reverse/all-over dye sub. Infinikey or CC would probably work well, too.

Excellent. Given how inundated GMK has been I think EPBT is a good choice. I like the idea of fostering good competition for this profile (but I'm not quite ready to trust infinikey) and so I will definitely be buying this set if EPBT manufacture it ESPECIALLY if you decide to go with PBT as the material.

you are mixing icon+text with text only mods, while the iso enter and 1.25u shift are icon only.

also, you are going with two line "scroll lock" but one line "prt sc", "pg up" and "pg down".

it feels very inconsistent and could easily be much more coherent with some small changes!

Thanks for the suggestions, i will take care of them, but as now I'm reworking kits with some major improvements that will eliminate most of inconsistencies you noticed.
These renders are made by me, so not great and full of errors. Working on this too, as I commissioned some nicer and improved renders.

This set looks so classy and clean, I hope the deskmat will catch the aesthetics just as well! One thing that makes this set difficult to pick up is the double f7 and missing f12 though ;)

They are supposed to be scooped (i have to check with epbt if they have the moulds) and the barred homing keys will be only barred.

Hi, I don't want to be rude, but on the ic form (out of 650+ interested) only 14 people replied that they would be interested in a nordeuk kit, so I think there is not enough interest merely based on numbers.

Small Update

Hi everyone!
Sorry for the little updates in the past month, but I have some updates.

- I've ordered samples from ePBT to start the color match process with pantone colors.
- Still working for finalizing kits. Most kits are ok, I have to work on a kit that I'm still not sure about. When kitting is finalized I will get new renders with updated kits.
  I have to thank konstantin, 40s discord and Keycap Designers discord for the help with kitting.
- I have a collaboration with NerdCables for some Grand Tour themed cables.

My hopes are to be able to finalize the kits and then fix a gb date.

Any chance we could move the extra B from the spacebar kit to the base, or add it to the 40's kit?

40's already covers split spacebars, and making it a big pain to get an additional spacebar kit if all you're trying to do is get that extra B for something like the Prime_E.

Love the 40s kit and the set.

One thing that would make me love it more would be if the 1.5 fn key in the 40s kit could also be a novelty. It would be nice because it would give minivan users the option for a novelty enter but could still be used as a fn key for others.

The newly-unveiled deskmats are fantastic too! Any hope of smaller deskmat sizing?

I love this set, the only request I would have is to offer a kit of just alphas so that I could cover multiple boards without needing to buy more than one of the base kits. The desk mats look incredible as well, I can't wait to get it.

I'm sorry but i won't add an alphas-only kit, for two reasons:
- We are very close to gb date
- ePBT MOQ works on base kit only. For Grand Tour is even more important because they have to make a new mold for a key in the ergo kit ( r4 (epbt) 1.5u mod), and they will produce it if the base kit will go over the MOQ for new mold.

- ePBT MOQ works on base kit only. For Grand Tour is even more important because they have to make a new mold for a key in the ergo kit ( r4 (epbt) 1.5u mod), and they will produce it if the base kit will go over the MOQ for new mold.

Fair enough, some strategic kitting. Still gonna pick up a base and ergo

Due to some disagreements regarding details behind the scenes, we had to cease the collaboration.

I like this new Thok artisan more than the RAMA one. The polished brass just did not do it for me, but this one looks great

I can't tell from the description or pictures, but is the resin part of the thock aluminum keycap designed in a way to allow an led to shine through it? Or is it laid on top of aluminum so no shine through?
