Sorry I meant free shipping on the CM website.  The Amazon site for the refund states that I need to clearly display the price of the shipping in order to receive a refund for the cost of shipping.

Maybe the free shipping did expire. Just chat with a rep and get them to send you a free return label. That will work.

If it's "their fault", you can get away without paying return shipping fees.
I've been able to do it before.

This is especially true if you're simply doing an exchange.

The thought of a CM Storm TKL with Greens is amazing, what color/ variances will there be? Any details would be awesome.

My logo-less red from the amazon batch has been working great. I swapped caps and have also played a few games of sc2, loving it. I use this thing when I wanna test each switch or nkro; http://www.microsoft.com/appliedsciences/antighostingexplained.mspx

I just ordered up one Silver with Blues and on Black with Reds. The coupon code does still work but no longer has free shipping.

Browns came in. Incredible for the $64 price tag. Branded, as expected, but it's all good - gotta wait for the blank black cover to come out. #swag #tybc

IMO the branding on the keyboard case of the grey version is more acceptable than that on black version (red switch), black on silver is not that eye-catching but spice the case up a bit.... I just bought one with brand and don't regret it.

As long as the keycaps are replaced, obviously  :p

Thank you! I don't even use Twitter or Google+. I just thought Lil B fanship was more prominent here since I saw someone post a cookin gif in another thread.

But I digress. Hope everyone else will be enjoying their boards from the CM store soon. My plan is to pick up dark grey blank PBT caps for it at some point.. like when my wallet fills back up.

I don't know if this is the right place, but just wanted to warn anyone who is creating an account with CM to order their keyboard:
They store their passwords in plaintext. Upon registering, they emailed me with my password in plaintext.

Carter: if you see this, please bring this up with someone at CM as storing passwords in plaintext is hugely bad practice.

Otherwise, I just placed an order for 2 MX Browns with a conditional note saying to send "brandless" if available and to hold my order if they're not or to cancel.

Bummer, looks like coupon code no longer works for Canada either, Free shipping is no longer an option for Can/US.
I tested a US address fine but got the following message for Canada:

Your shipping address doesn't meet the location requirements for the coupon code you entered.  :'(

Cheers,

Carter won't confirm nor deny that Greens are coming.

I tried single green switches at the Chicagoland keyboard get together and much preferred them over the blues.
Their just heavier blues whats so revolutionary about them?

That's neither confirmation nor denial.  That's simply possession of something that may or may not be a future product.  Places produce a few of a possible product without it reaching production all the time.

Suppose I could make a Frankenboard out of it... I had planned on pulling it apart for other purposes anyhow but wanted to have the clean case.

Oh and PS - don't like reds.  It's a little different in a plastic case (tried a KMAC) but still not my cuppa.

placed mine on the 7th, mines currently in transit - if it is in fact priority mail it shouldn't take more than 3 days after shipping

Just got my quickfire rapid RED branding all over it  :(

@ carter
I was looking at the return info:
"Customer is required to cover shipping for returns. (excludes items shipped incorrectly by Cooler Master)"
I plan on sending this back. Please let me know that this falls into the 2nd part of that statement.

i didn't open anything i can clearly see the logo through the white foam and there was no tape sealing the flap on the outside part of box.
-im on the westcoast and the customer service was closed at this time.

I just got my QFR mx reds, and I'm happy that it has no branding, but a little disappointed at the condition it came in :(. Similar to Elux028, there are some deep scratches on the top and sides of some of the caps that are clearly visible. And on the corners of some, it looks as if someone took sandpaper and rubbed on the caps' corner. Refer to Elux028's pictures, and I'll also take my own pics to post it shortly.

Anyone have any complaints about this board? Looking into getting one.

So I recently posted about my my issue with the Alt switch not working immediately upon receipt(and condition of the keys) and I just shipped it back to Amazon for a full refund, not an exchange.
Now maybe I am just bitter because it took so long after my order to get the keyboard just to turn around and refund it.  On top of paying full price ~8 hours before Carter announced this sale. I will not order a CM QFR again at this stage of production.

-If you go to the CM store you now get prompted to pay for shipping with your discount code.
-The Reds, which he said are guaranteed to be unbranded are turning up branded.
-Not all switches are available unbranded and some people are settling just to take advantage of this promotion.
-You may want to review the return policy: http://www.cmstore-usa.com/shipping-and-returns/
-Then there's the font...

When production settles down and they know what they are selling again, sure I'll consider another product.  However from a personal customer experience point of view I will pass and go with a board that has no variables.

Should be. It sure looks like they just updated their case printing with costar (also the winkey looks different).

I will, of course, be taking mine apart (in true eevblog style, before I even plug it in) when it arrives, so we'll know for sure if there's any difference then.

unfortunately its the over branded case unlike my rapid in blues

considering the discount carter gave us it's definitely still worth it, do we know if the cases that are going to be sold will be in a variety of colors? maybe he'll offer us a discount on those cases too  ;D

I just don't understand how it's acceptable or worth it to receive an item that is not what you paid for.  Most purchased this keyboard because it was unbranded.  The discount code was a perk.  Cooler Master is a company not some single user E-Bay reseller.  As a whole, higher expectations as a customer should be had compared to what has been shown over the past few days.

Reds are a guarantee

Blues make sure you contact Customer Support via Live chat with your order number.

Just walked in from the warehouse. unfortunately my brown brand less boards havent come yet.

I understand you are trying to do this community a service and try to provide your KB, unbranded, at a very low price.  However, what you are in fact doing is selling a low priced crap shoot.  Yes people are getting a mech keyboard with the switches of their choice (although some people are compromising bc browns aren't avail brandless).  No people are not getting 100% unbranded products.  It's like finding a golden ticket at this point.  (If you get it unbranded guys throw it on Ebay because no on else knows about it, they don't even announce it on their extremely active Facebook page.  $63 for a red from CM, $89 on Amazon, Unbranded? F-it $116 on Ebay.)

In my case I did get an unbranded KB, full price from Amazon, but it didn't work.  I'll spend $50 more on another brand to know what I'm getting any day.  I have quite a few CM products spread across my computers at home so I was happy to go with CM at first. After reading other peoples experiences combined with the quality of mine, I just feel like something concrete needs to come out here before I consider looking at this "deal".

If you don't really know if the old branded stuff is gone then don't guarantee anything.  Talking to customer service to get a unicorn doesn't always work.  Speaking of work, hope it does boys and girls.

Funny, I was just going to make a post about this. My brother wanted a keyboard for his birthday so we got him the CM quickfire rapid with reds, and when I noticed it only had labeling on the backside I was ecstatic! I think it looks so much better, and really happy that they decided to do this. As cheap as they are I may pick one up when they go on sale now.

If you look on their website, what is pictured is the item with branding. If you want a guarantee about getting the new revision, wait a few months to make sure their stock is switched over. If you want concrete, then there is nothing wrong with waiting for it, so I commend your patience. To me, I don't mind the branding, It doesn't make the keyboard feel or function any less well. I don't mind the looks at all. When I buy a product like this, I will only buy based on looks if all other factors are the same. If I open my box and see a keyboard with branding all over it, I'll be happy. Now, I do prefer the "unbranded" one, so I'd be happier with that, but the difference is slight.

Long time Lurker, I ordered the Quickfire Rapid with Reds, but I forgot to leave a comment asking if I can get the unbranded version if possible. I noticed they don't have a cancel option. Anyway I can reach them and ask if this is possible? If not I'll be happy with the keyboard as it's a great deal. I know there's a "reorder" option but I'm not sure if they will charge me for a second keyboard or just change the one I'm ordering now.

This has nothing really to do with the labeling and branding of the QFR. But I thought it good to post it here anyway:

Anyone else that feel that the Mx Reds on the QFR feels more stiffer/heavier than from other Mx Reds from other keyboards?

I feel that they are stiffer than those I tried on a Tesoro (Maxkeyboard rebrand) and on a Qpad keyboard.

If you imagine those other Mx Reds, halfway from those in stiffness to a Mx Black switch, that is how I feel about the Mx Red on the QFR, like the halfway point in stiffness from those other Mx Reds to the Mx Black switch. They feel heavier and quite alot heavier. Dont know if its my mind messing things up but thats how I feel.

Grab some nickels and test for yourself? (edit: o wait your swedish, lol, do you guys have a 5g coin?) maybe the other keyboards you tried were really well used/broken in?

Seeing others experiences through amazon I feel pretty fortunate to get a perfect kb, but when I opened the box I can't say im surprised;

1. There is NO anti tamper sticker/seal of any kind on the box to open it. Someone could EASILY open it, use it, and put it back for return.
2. When mine was sitting on my porch the CM box was upside down inside the Amazon box. This really wouldnt be that big of a deal if the CM packaging were better. The keyboard is just wrapped in 1mm foam and loosely put in the box.

So that means my kb was shipped upside down, while ON it's switches activation point, bouncing about under its own weight sitting on its keycaps while fedex had their way with it. & red are pretty easy to press right?

-_-

Maybe I'll test it with some weights, I dont know. Something I do know though is that I liked those Mx Red switches better than these on the QFR, and those I tried were from brand new keyboards just like my QFR :/

Also holy **** how loud costar stabilizers are, like the backspace and enter are shrieking/wailing so loudly when pressed. I know you are supposed to grease them and I will soon I guess, but still I didnt have any of these problems with my cherry stabilizers at all on my old keyboard (just saying) which felt equally good compared to costar stabilizers so far in feel. Atleast with ungreased costars as I have now. Im not really impressed, doesnt feel like a upgrade.

3 variables that influenced this buy:
-Free shipping
-30%(not sure how long these two promotions would last)
-Comment from carter stating it was guaranteed to be in stock without logos.

My first intentions were to wait a couple months, however this would be taking a gamble on the great price ($62 shipped) which it was offered at the time i ordered it.
If this was my first MechKB id keep it branded or not b/c of the great price but
this is just an addition to the collection for me personally aesthetics > functionality on this purchase.

Hey Carter, I work for a logistics firm, so I know how difficult it is on your end to manage back end processes while trying to keep customers happy. Keep up the good work, its awesome how you take feedback from the community and throw us a bone here and there. No other keyboard manufacturers/distributors do that here.
