Fonts for designing serigraphies
« on: Wed, 16 September 2015, 11:45:21 »
Hi!

I have used VAG Rounded and Gotham Rounded with success for designing my custom keycaps. And I would like to ask you what other fonts look nice on keyboards?

BTW, I am not sure if this is the right section for asking this :)

Univers 57 has been used by Apple,
Univers 55 is used by Matias,
Filco use Futura,
Dell used Frutiger bold on some boards,
Cherry and IBM have both used something like Helvetica (although purists would argue it's not the same)..
Some very old boards (Commodore VIC-20 and PET are the first that come to mind) used Microgramma or Eurostile which is my personal favourite (and there may be something related to this font and keycaps happening soon, but I shouldn't say more until things have progressed a little further...) ;)
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

I've been told that Gotham Rounded is the closest to Cherry legends, also what size of font should be used? I need 4 legends for relegendables.
