I also missed that.  :|  I PMed shadovved to ask if I could add them and he accommodated.  Though keep in mind this was still before the close of payments and start of production, so the situation may be different now.  But might still be worth a shot and a PM?

All sets come with 1800 support no?

The sets support 1800 by default, aka the shift keys. But for the correct profile of Ins/Del/Home keys you need the 1800 kit.

is there any way to add the 1800 kits to our orders now? i suppose there won't be many - if any - of these ordered as extra?

There are no extra 1800 kits. But I can do a supplementary buy when I'm doing the replacement keys for the keysets.

I've heard. And EnjoyPBT says they've improved the quality of the stem fittings/placement etc since the first time.

Since imsto uses their base caps as well, I'm not expecting any big issues. Broken caps can be replaced when you receive your sets.

Guess we'll just have to find out...

I had the same issue as the guy in the link (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=72609.msg1830286#msg1830286) and it was definitely the result of me being careless and using too much force when pressing on the caps! This was also on Cherry Clear stems which are notoriously tight. I only had an issue with two caps out of three full sets (beige, light grey, dark grey).

The guy on DT says he was gently pressing the caps on... I honestly can't believe that. How can the stems snap without any force unless they are made out of dust? 

Anyway, if Shadovved says they have addressed that minor issue everything should be all good

What gives me most assurance is that imsto is using them again. Not saying I shouldn't trust Shadovved (I do; this is my second GB I'm joining run by him), but imsto dyesubs his own stuff, so he probably tests and retests the caps he buys.

Also, the pictures of each keyset in the first post layout exactly what's included:



The only thing that's wrong with the current kit is the Ins/Del/Home Keys will not be the correct profile. The current kit already comes with the Short Right Shift.

The +5 1x keys for the 1800: R1 Del/End/Pgdn, R2 -, R3 + will cost +$10

I doubt everyone wants it so I might only open for those who want it?
