11/4/22
- We have a Vendor!!! huge shoutout to Aiwanei at Thockeys for taking this little passion project on and making it a reality!
- Updated kit (removed battery, removed black hardware torx variant (silver still available)
- Finalized color options (see above)
- Finalized weight material and finish (sandblasted brass)
- 250$ finalized kit price (why the increase? long story short, the V1 and V2 proto manu become untrustworthy, the V2.5 proto manu had more errors than i could count, so i had to choose a Manu that was experienced/well recommended and sadly a little pricier)

[ The Inspiration ]This was born from being disappointed in the lack of premium numpad options available at the time of initial design as well as age old instigating questions like "what if we slapped an o-ring into it?" and "what if we slapped bluetooth into it".
More ramblings of context:
I was also influenced by one of my favorite kustoms the GHv2 by LZ.
The engraving and name was born from some cheeky wordplay of songs by one of my favorite artists Machinedrum. I binged his music throughout this design process and felt inclined to immortalize it within the design. His use of numbers in his song names also integrated well into the theme of the numpad.
NUM1: a play on 'Come1' off the album “Room(s)”
Only 1 Way 2 Numpad: a play on 'Only 1 Way 2 Know' off the album “Vapor City Archives”
I was made aware only somewhat recently that a fellow member of this community HineyBush designed the TKL ONE and the NUM ONE (I knew the TKL ONE but didnt know it had a numpad!). Given the name is nearly identical, I reached out to Hiney for permission to continue use of the NUM1 name for this project, He approved!
Thanks Mr. Hiney!
[ The V1 to V2.5 Changes ]A more comprehensive history of the design and changes can be found in my discord below but here are the main points
- Increased total height of the pad 1.4mm to increase case bottom thickness for acoustic improvements to front row switches
- Xonledge added for same reason as above
- USB C cutout squared to accept lindy connectors
- Oring sidewall relief cut depth increased to isolate impact force to just the oring pedistals
- Removed long bumpons in favor of 3m dome bumpons for better acoustic isolation
- Added battery bay and Bluetooth functionality supporting 150Mah LiPo batteries
- Increased the fillet from 1.25 to 1.5 on edges for softer feel when moving around your desk
