Now I've watched about a dozen matches this tournament, I feel I have gone back in time. Yet again there is Tusk, SF, Lina, ES, and Rubick.

I don't know, I know it's to do with the patch and whatever, but it's the same heroes over and over. Yeah a Sniper pick changes things a little, but it's not really anything special.

man I'm really happy for EG, Fear and gang deserve the win for sure (definitely better than sea**** as an overall team) and it's a great story to win on home turf, but I can't help but feel that was a ****ty finals... I would have rather had any of the other Chinese teams vs EG.

I think it's just a phase of each scene being better than the other. Just adapting to the meta I guess. Like last year when the final was super ****ty because Newbee ended it in like an hour.

They see a money-making opportunity and are trying to exploit it. I think they also partnered with MLG at some point. Jeremy Lin was on the TI5 analysts desk and Gordon Hayward could probably do the same in League, ESPN could very well exploit that potential crossover between sports and esports.

Valve partnered with ESPN to show TI4 on ESPN3 last year. So they aren't really exploiting it this year, they did that already.
