I might be able to make it.

Hoof, give me a ride again!

Can't you Blaze it up and get there yourself?!  JK, I can probably give you a ride.  Only downside is I might be spending the whole weekend (and maybe longer) in Chicago, so you would have to do that as well.  I can let you know more about that as the date approaches though.

There are three beds and many couches. So far the list is you, Hoff, and hashbaz. Also I think exit said he may need somewhere to stay.

With CPTBadAss going with Joey Quinn and no signup from esoomenona I think I have a free futon for anyone looking for a place to crash.  I live somewhere here.

If anyone is serious about staying with me please send a PM to confirm!  I can take a second person if they are okay with a couch.  Will post here if/when spots are taken.  Disclaimer: I don't have a car but I'll rent one for the day if getting out to the convention requires it.

I'm in, if you need help on the venue hit me up in PM, depending on what you want, I could give you a few options, 2 are in Skokie, one in Mt. Prospect. They're smaller venues, but still nice enough for our purpose. The one in MP is a big assed banquet hall, but owned by one of my dad's best friends...let me know.

Any progress on finding a venue? Looks like there's a solid 30 people going with a lot of maybes :). It's about two months out so if people are trying to fly in or booking hotels, now is prime time to start looking for those things. It would be nice to have a venue to confirm that this is indeed happening.

Same old story, it seems, with the difficulty of finding a free venue, and then the potential cost of a paid venue.  If I lived in Chicago, I would be glad to help find a venue, but I'm down here in Naptown.

If we have to pay, I don't know if this will be useful:

Skokie would be nice, also easier parking and probably cheaper than downtown.

Is that supposed to be convenient or too long?  From my perspective, that's convenient, but I sometimes walk three miles to work, just for fun.

You should get one, as long as you have mostly dry roads it would be a fine car to daily and still be able to have some fun on weekends.
