Fortune 1000 Keyboard
« on: Wed, 07 November 2018, 19:50:15 »
A cross post, but an interesting keyboard, so I figured I'd post here too. I picked up this board somewhat randomly:

206879-0          206881-1          206883-2

Turned out to be a Digitran capacitive leaf board:

206885-3          206887-4

After tracing out the matrix I wired up the Xwhatsit Model F to USB and retrobrighted the keys:

206889-5          206891-6

Quick video of typing on it:

They are from Digitran. They are capacitive switches using a metal leaf spring over a pad in the PCB:

206961-0

The metal leafs are the columns and the pads under the solder mask on the PCB are the rows.  Digitran called then "Golden Touch":

206965-1
