Making Stuff Together! / Re: Stupid quick PCB design
« Last post by zegonix on Thu, 03 July 2025, 05:33:16 »
alright. on the pictures i don't see too much, but from the description i assume, the pcb houses a usb-connector, a power converter and the mcu, whose gpios are just routed to the pins?
i could do this, but it will be just functional, not pretty or sure to work in any environment (i could not guarantee for esd safety, or emi specifications..)

Interest Checks / Re: [IC] SA Teletype | 40s oriented Uniform SA R3

Since it doesn't seem like the mods will approve the GB post before the GB ends, enjoy some more renders here. These are on a concept µHKB by Rhadamanthus.

Vendors for Teletype are Saber Keebs (US), Keeb.Supply (EU), and ProtoTypist (UK).

Base kit is 40's-first, with an optional add-on kit for larger boards. Group buy end date is July 25th!

The link is a PCB that I had done years ago, that is my account on Oshpark.  Another GH member did the Kicad work for me, by the name of Moz if memory is correct. I am not looking to sell it, unless there is interest for a GB, but I doubt it. I do plan to make the design public on Oshpark.

I'm doing everything I can to make this set a reality. And interacting here and showing your interest helps enormously!
Thank you for that, guys.

I know this has been postponed, but I would love a pink 1u "B" in R1, like you've got for R4, for split backspace support.
If it's too much for the base, maybe there's an option to add it in the novelty design.

I believe that's something I can offer! I have a few other suggestions in the backlog, though.

Instead of two base kits why won't you keep one normie icon base kit and add a sublegends kit?

Small Update!

Due to various reasons, we are going to remove the deskmats from the gb. Sorry for this!

An actually interesting colour scheme, nice! My only request is to please remove the accent from R3 backslash as I'm not sure that's a thing. It's kinda weird on the R4 Angle bracket key too but somehow that makes more sense to me.

until you prove me wrong with actual measurements of the switches bouncing times, i am convinced, that the debouncefilter is set to short, because someone wanted a little bit better response time..
