[IC] Moogle Packs
« on: Fri, 19 April 2013, 23:20:55 »
I'm not really in the position to run a group buy, but lately I have been seeing the price of Cherry, Dolch, and WYSE moogles increasing exponentially in rarity in price.  Just sort of curious to see how many people would be interested in a modifier GB.  There hasn't been one in quite awhile and I think there would be plenty of interest if someone would want to take this on as a GB.

You should just make a poll. Also, I'd be in for a dolch if the shifts are lower profile like that on an actual dolch board.

Me too. Actually only in it for the right Shift key. I have 1.5 modifiers on my keyboard with Dolch caps.

I would also be interested in 1-unit keys to put in-between Control and Alt, if someone would do that. (Dolch Tsangan Kit. ;) ) and a Dolch Anti-Caps Lock kit.

Sorry been busy all morning.  I'll do the poll right when I get home.  Gonna add:
White on Black Cherry
Black on Beige Cherry
Dolch
SkiData
WYSE

Any other ones?  I will add a tsangan option aswell.

If the current GMK buy goes ahead, there will be more sets like it again in other colorways. Might be better to wait a bit and NOT do these with SP as it will only ruin chances of getting the required MOQ with GMK.

Thats a big if.  And idk how easily we'd get the MOQ for all of those.  But I'll wait and see what happens.

I don't know. We have come pretty close on what many have told me is not a popular color... Sure we will have to see what happens but it was merely something I thought to mention. Of course I can't stop anyone, just I think more people really would rather have Cherry profile than SP DCS when it comes down to it, when matching up for complete sets it is better to get the real thing that a poor imitation.

I 100% agree with you.  I just think getting to 300 on all those may be tough.  Also who knows how cooperative GMK will be.  I'd still like to see atleast a WYSE moogle go through.

We need better colours for a Miami moogle.
After the cherry legends are up and running. I would like to see if sp can get a hold of the same colours GMK uses. The teal n magenta. Or similar. And revive the **** out if Miami!

I think the Miami GB was just awkwardly timed.  It seemed like there were 10 other sales going on that were better, that I spent my money on.  Although now I can't remember what they were exactly.  But if somebody revived it now, maybe it would be more popular, or people would have more money to spend on it.  (IIRC the problem was people ordered and bailed out or something).

As for moogle kits, somebody is always looking for one.  Because nobody ever thinks they're going to need a moogle kit, until they need a moogle kit.

I still get pretty regular requests for moogle extras. :D  I'm surprised no one has run another buy yet, actually.  GMK would be ideal but the MOQ is a killer.

Which is why I didn't offer 'moogles' and 'tsangans' buy simply modifier packs that have all of it and will continue to do it that way for exactly that reason. It's too hard to hit individual target moq when it is fragmented into more options.

True.  Trust me, I would prefer GMK moogles.  Just worried about hitting MOQ for like 5 different types.  I'll wait and see what GMK has to say after the purple mods trial GB

That's why we don't do five colorways at the same time. We will pick one or maybe two maximum and do that, then when finished move to next colorway. I feel it will be easier to meet moq when we are focused on one thing at a time and will keep it more simple and not overwhelming for both participants and organizing.

Don't you want to move on to full sets after this mod GB ends anyways?

Or do you have a secret mastermind plan?

Both, in a way. I want to keep things modular for mix and match so there may be more variety. Full sets won't really be full set, one item. You will have to buy like three ot four components to make a full set, some will be available in different colorways and such is how I planned to do it.

Moogle kits are big here in Europe, I'd be in for some Ivan all-in-one modifier kits from GMK. think that the right way. And I think we'd actually stand a very good chance of meeting MOQs with classic Cherry sets like beige and black.

we cant hit MOQ of 300 on Moogle with GMK, its practically impossible. SP should do the job, I'll be in for a beige and if price is right I might go for Dolch too if available.

We could hit a MOQ of 300 for purple(!) modifiers. Why do you think we cannot hit this MOQ for modifiers in classic(!) colors?

because I doubt there are 300 people on this forum with Cherry classic sets sitting in their shelves being unused because they don't have Moogle kit to make them compatible..... Think(!!!!!!!!!!)

but guess yr doubts are correct.....there should be more than 300 classic sets hanging around.  :)
