Just wondering, do you guys prefer silver alu, or stainless steel for the plate? Would one be better than the other, and in what way?

my opinion the steel is better because is more durable, specially when fitting new keycaps and they need to be pressed harder in order for them to fit to the bottom of the stem, aluminum might be flaky for this sort of thing. they both wont rust and steel is stronger, I would think steel is better choice, also isn't steel cheaper than the aluminum too?

Generally...
AL plate is for white or brown switch(clear)
SUS plate is for black or red switch(linear)
PC plate is for blue switch(click)
But... It's personal taste..

STAINLESS STEEL is always better than Aluminum, but if you want colour, the Aluminum plate delivers (if there are colours to choose).

Why would it be hard to find a Cherry set? There are tons of old Cherry G80-1800 boards available on eBay and TaoBao. Heck, I harvested a NIB 1800 just last month for a great set of PBT 1800 keycaps.

Woah, we have the choice of black cases? That makes me a lot more interested in the Leeku case, instead of retrofitting a Cherry case with the plate.
