4v4 is too little, lets do 6v6 next time. Not sure if we can use the same server though, probably best anyway because people were complaining about the lag haha
We need the people to back that up. There were a couple people who were displeased about how the first one didn't go as planned and seemed to give the air they wouldn't be back, and others who may have obligations and will have to drop out.
We barely got 12 players as is. I'm all for 6v6 but weed need literally 50% more people signing up for this from what we had previously.
EDIT: Plus TK only sponsored 4 caps (1 for each player)
and Tym, didn't luke say that he wouldn't have the server next weekend? If that be the case, you might want to postpone for a fortnight, and reboot the whole tournament from scratch. Figure out everything beforehand, a time, a date, rules, and the have everybody sign up and work the teams.
And hopefully we have some reliable stand-ins this time. I think there were a lot of people who really did want to make it but were confused about what time it was. It's very difficult to co-ordinate times between US and UK. I think the easiest is if everybody sets up a second clock on thier computer (easy with windows 7) that runs on GMT and then EVERYBODY just either uses GMT to co-ordinate, or figures the difference and double checks it. We could also post a chart that would show the time spread as the match would occur around the world.
The information was too spread out as well, I think the second thread made it confusing. Just have everything in the one thread, or at least have the second thread unlocked so it gets bumped and people notice it. This could be the overall FPS Tournament bi-weekly thing, and then open a new thread for everybody interested in each individual tourney. A mass E-Mail the thursday/friday before would help everybody be notified what the final word was. That way nobody has an excuse that they didn't know, at least beyond a reasonable amount of effort on the organizer's end.
Just a few ideas.
