I like keyboards and case modding.  Everything about a computer should be silent -- except the KEYBOARD!

I got some BB's through USPS. Pics will go up later tonight!!!

Unfortunately however, some F****** stole my UPS package from my front door today... First time it's ever happened, and is it quite the unpleasant and dirty feeling... The feeling of suspecting my neighbors or the UPS dood is disturbing and regretful... The fact that I can't even take a nap during the day anymore when expecting a package is seriously disappointing...

Luckily, the Amazon dood was kind enough to replace it and have it shipped to me by tomorrow... I guess, even if I happen to get tired tomorrow, I can't nap...

Yeah... It's UPS and the tracking clearly says, "Delivered to Front Door at 12:24 PM," and when I called them to confirm, they gave me the correct address. There was also no note on my door and no package anywhere in the general area. Not in the mailbox either. I assumed it could be an error and they marked it as delivered by accident but the day has ended and still no such word.

I wish Amazon would be consistent and just deliver everything via USPS so my packages can be securely delivered in my locked mailbox and not at the front door...

Get a PO Box if package theft is an issue in your neighborhood. Best way to go about it.

Thanks for the tip, bro :) I might have to look into that! I'll also have to set up a camera that's CLEARLY visible too to try deter, but doubt that'll work.

Sux because I've lived here for 4-5 years and this is the first time this has happened, but then again, the neighbors change every year or two because it's a college town... It's a "nice" neighborhood/condo too... Oh well~~

I tend to go with USPS as well and the one part of the US Gov that seems to work is the mail fraud department of the USPS.
Both UPS and FedEx provide more secure delivery options, but no-one ever gives you the option.
I had one UPS package that I had to show ID for and get my picture taken to take delivery. That was a strange experience.

Lol! That is quite the interesting experience indeed! Was it an expensive package or something important?

it was only a matter of time before you joined the right side.

I wouldn't say the right side, just another side.  Topre does remind me a lot of Orange Alps.  Each switch has awesome parts and crappy parts. It really is hard for me to have a favorite.  I love my F AT, my Ghost Blacks and Ergo Clears, my Orange, linear Green, and Tactile Green Alps, and now my Topre.  They all have a feel that makes them unique and fun.

I do kind of wish that I had gone with a HHKB Type-S though.  It just feels tighter than the new HHKB.  The HHKB feels a little heavier than the HHKB Type-S.

I do mock Topre less after trying out the HHKB.  There's just something fun about the keyboard that's lacking in the other Topre boards I've tried.  There's just something fun about the feel of a quality mechanical/rubber dome board.

Beautiful board and photo, nubbs!  That dark Dolly looks really great with the black HHKB.

Thanks.  The Dolly is a fun one.  It's semi-trans black, grey face, red eyes, and glows in the dark.  Something is a little off on it though since it occasionally catches, something none of my other Dollies do.

Got my first mechanical keyboard yesterday (didn't see an appropriate thread, so I found the next best thing and chose 'today'): a KBP V60 with browns and red/blue LED-backlighting. Gotta say that this thing is a dream to type on compared to any other keyboard I've tried. I'm glad I demoed some "gaming" ones (K70, Blackwidow Ultimate, and G710+) at a Best Buy the day before I got it so that I'd know the difference. Even with ABS keycaps, this thing feels so much better given its more solid build quality. Glad I made the plunge.

Congratulations!

And now that you've made the plunge, you are in the water and can go deeper by replacing those ABS keycaps.  For a first keycap set, you can't go wrong with Imsto thick PBT.  You can often find them here in the classifieds or on e-Bay, but here they are direct from Imsto:

Again, congratulations and welcome!

Nice!

Stick to the ABS keycaps for a while, I think Ron might be jumping the gun here

I'm sticking to ABS for the timebeing. I'm happy with them. Waiting on a drop for white PBT caps for backlights . I hate that I missed it.

Mini USB male/female, diodes, and SMD resistors.

These are really tiny, but I think I can manage.
