Tigersharkdude's Keycap Collection
« on: Fri, 06 March 2015, 06:19:10 »
Updated: April 1, 2016

After viewing another similar thread it made me think about making one of my own.

Below are the caps Ive had from the beginning to now (I have tried to put them in chronological order).

EDIT: I no longer have a number of these caps, please check my trading thread for what I have for trade
Trading Thread - https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=77747.0

1.) "Eject" ESC key from a small GB here

2.) I contacted Nubbinator about making a one-off green Jonah, he agreed. I received two Jonahs in the mail, the yellow and green is what I ordered and the trans green was a freebie

3.) I was pretty lucky with this Gasmask, I was browsing Reddit and someone posted a link to the FS page and I got in

4.) I got into one of Nubbinator's sale threads and picked up this Skully

5.) and Visitor was a freebie

6.) Then I got into the BroBot Angry Summer sale and picked up the Angry Summer set

7.) I camped for this cap, Nubbinator Liberty's Light Dolly

8.) I picked up a red Hellboy and black skull from an IMSTO buy

9.) Then I got in on a Binge buy for a Keythulu and Lion Keyng

10.) Im not sure if this in the right spot time wise, it's a Warmaster from HotKeysProject

11.) Got in on a KWK email buy for a Give Up the Ghost and Grave Grey MummyII

12.) I got into another BroSale and picked up a GID Reaper and BBV2. BBV2 was promptly sold to another member (I didnt have enough money in my paypal to cover the entire order :( )

13.) I got in to an SSIPAK buy for a Moonpuhs and Shinigami, but the Disco Fever Moonpuhs (far left) had a defect so he/she sent me an extra in a one off color (center), on the far right is a Jedi Pink Shinigami

14.) Then a BroSet was purchased (shout out to BunnyLake for letting me get in after the sale)

15.) This Gold Iron Mask was acquired through a trade

16.) Next up I picked up the Holy Grail ... a Gold plated BroBotV2

17.) I then traded the gold  bot for a Reaper, BBV2 and something else (cant remember)

18.) I then traded the Patriot BBV2 and the "something else" for a BBV1 and Galactus BBV2

and I received a FREE Glow in the Dark Noxious BBV2 in ^^that trade. I ended up doing a giveaway for this cap.

19.) I don't remember what I traded to get this Bananarama Conspire, i ended up selling it to another member because the color clashed with my board

20.) I contacted Krytone about a custom order and he obliged, i told him which caps I wanted and that I wanted purple in them somewhere .. he sent me these

21.) Picked up this Jawless Zombro through a trade

22.) Then this happened, there is a pretty good story behind it. I had contacted Nubbinator about making a trans blue "A Clockwork Heart" and he got on it quickly, he ended up having a few duds and was unhappy with air pockets that kept developing in them. He sent me all 3 of the trans blue caps (I then gave two of these away), he also included a Deckerson and another heart in pink/green ( i ended up giving these away too). And on the end there is the "Heart of Sharts", we had joked about making a cap with a "poo" on it, he surprised me with this .. lol

23.) Got this KBK WarUsII through an email sale

24.) Then I contacted Krytone again about his Chibi Dragon cap, I asked if I could get one and he agreed and asked what color I wanted ... I said "Blue eyes White dragon". I also ordered a black and green PowerBot

25.) I contacted Binge about this one. Asked if he would do a Noko Cola Orc Trooper

26.) I picked this HKP Raven up through a trade

27.) I hunted for a Nubbinator Ba'Man for a while, I finally picked this up a few days ago through Reddit

28.)I dont remember when I got this one, Binge sent it to me from a giveaway he did

Ive been procrastinating on posting these 3, I picked them up from 2 trades.

29.) Brobot Noxious

30.) KBK MummyII in Grave Grey (wonder if its the same one I won way back?)

31.) This is a neon green Hellboy, it's uber hard to get a pic of

32.) This Gasmask came in today from Martin's recent sale (3/20/15)

33.) Dodgy Mister

34.) KWK Warus V2

35.) Another Noxious BBV2 ... LOL

36.) Dodgy Mister and Blank

37.) Impossibru

38.) :(

39.) HKP Trooper in clear

40) HKP Trooper in Silver with odd eyes

41.) Interstellar Green BBV2

42.) The Genie

44.) MonKey - aqua

45.) Booper Cosmonaut

46.) Booper Lillith

47.) Booper Monkey

48.) Ghost - doogan?

Nice collection, sweet colours, nice range of caps :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Gotta say that's one of my favorite shots of Binge's caps. They look almost cel-shaded, amazing colors.

There's lot of great threads hidden around here!

Actually it's been a while since I've caught up on the media section, and it's great to see some of the older threads resurrected :)

I just started artisan caps collecting. Looking at this collection, i'm so jealous. It's so hard to get them off from everone as they're like precious babies to the collectors. Wish that one day I have a chance to own them or at least see them in person :(

You have to remember, a lot of these collections are because they were here when they first were being sold and there were less people too.

That's true. It's so hard to win raffle. My luck with raffle sale is only 1 win after 10 of them :(

I just started artisan caps collecting. Looking at this collection, i'm so jealous. It's so hard to get them off from everone as they're like precious babies to the collectors. Wish that one day I have a chance to own them or at least see them in person :(

Have patience - in time you too will amass a collection that will impress those who come after you.
