So i'm relatively new to the whole keyboard thing, my first mechanical I got a few months ago (pre-assembled) . I would like to participate in this group buy, ive read most of the "read before you post" forums but I am a tad confused on what all i need to purchase on google doc forum. sorry i'm a noob... any help would be greatly appreciated.
option 1 is pretty self explanatory, pick the case color you like. option 2 is the plate type, different types are better suited for different switches, so i've heard. ss is better for linear switches and aluminum for clicky/tactile. unsure about brass. it's also an aesthetic choice too. as for the layout, i guess that depends on your region, ansi is what is generally used in the us, iso used in the uk and elsewhere, universal gives you more switch layout options. option 3 is simply a weight that you can have as part of the keyboard. it makes it feel heavier. you may be able to see the weight on the bottom of the case but i am unsure per the pictures provided. option 4 is pretty simple, just pick how many pcbs you want. you'd want more than one if you wanted to have different switches or are thinking about selling the board in the future and would like to give the new buyer a new pcb for them to put their own switches on. you'd want one at least.
you would need to solder the switches on to the keyboard and purchase switches elsewhere to put on depending on what you like to use. you'll also need to source elsewhere stabilizers for the larger keys depending on the layout you end up going with.
kin has in his signature his telegram contact info. telegram is a communication application. you should reach out to him if you're thinking about getting into this. he's pretty transparent on the whole process and can help you figure out what you ultimately want.
hope that helps
