Gaming PC Parts discussion thread.
tp4tissue:
24gb is happening because of lpddr5 soldered ram for AMD APUs.
There are no other packages that makes sense.
32gb on a laptop, in most cases, IS a bit much/ wasted.
Sniping:
been playing cloverpit for the past few days, pretty fun one if anyone needs a game rec. I think my gaming PC itch has mostly been scratched for now. small chance I swap to 5080 fe and itx down the line while they're still cheap and available but I don't think it'll happen honestly.
noisyturtle:
I feel like if 24GB RAM had been normalized when DDR3 was around it would have become the standard over 32GB
tp4tissue:
5070ti having only 12gb on mobile, and 5070 and below with 8gb.
Upsetting. Completely non-viable gpus.
There shouldn't be any gpu below 16gb.
tp4tissue:
Pantherlake, pffffffff. LAME..
This thing isn't remotely competitive, AMD will kick them in the potato.
Amd has so many levers at this point, Intel needs to really make 1 thing work, stop with all this nonsense, Nvidia partnership, Arc, E-cores.
