i love rubber hose style artwork, so this set would be an easy purchase for me
Yes even I cannot understand what is going on. Maybe they thought I have been using Pm a lot as I used it to communicate with the sellers. Even the PM that they pointed out as spam was the one seller replied back to me.As stated, I’m only using reddit for just merch market and I even don’t comment on any other keebs related post. The seller post their product on the community so I have to be the first to contact them as it is the rule. And there is no other way than PM. They Pm back so I use PM to talk with them. Only about 1-3 sellers per week or maybe none in some week. I thought that is normal use. After my account was banned, I created another one which got banned without having a chance to use it. I have not even post a comment or Pm anyone with that new account.I create another account and they perma ban that one right away.
On what basis? Are they looking at your IP or are you REALLY spammy? I agree with others that the Reddit mods aren't great, but I'm guessing your behavior must have been outside the realm of "normal use".
I understand how mechmarket works; I've bought/sold plenty there. I'm just curious what behavior they flagged and why/how they've insta-banned you. Only about 1-3 sellers per week feels very reasonable and normal and I don't think mods can correlate account IPs / device MAC addresses. I don't think they'd randomly single folks out and ban them without reason either.
That leaves me wondering "what are they seeing that they don't like". Maybe they think you're a bot because of the new account? It's possible they have automation that you're getting caught up in; that's doubly more possible if you never got a warning message etc. You could try seeding a new account with "normal" reddit activity before PMing sellers. Or reach out to the mods and explain your situation.
At the very least they should explain _why_ they banned you, even if they don't overturn it.

It's a real shame because the Mech Market is much stronger on Reddit than it is here. I saw a set of Signature Plastic SA Photo Studio for sale for dang near MSRP that I almost scooped up, but realized I didn't need another set of SA Caps.Yes exactly. The merch market on reddit seems to have more tradings than any market on other platform like Discord.
Mods are super aggressive and petty on Reddit, and I think there is an unspoken policy to never reverse any perma ban no matter the situation because it makes them look wrong. If it is a permanent account suspension your chances are less than 0%. If it is just a sub ban you can try messaging the mods of that sub or submitting an appeal, but it is likely they will see this as an aggression and mute you from being able to contact them again without any further explanation or discourse.I create another account and they perma ban that one right away.
I'd say you've been blessed. Forget Reddit and move on, it is a cesspool full of corrupt mods that have no leashes or consequences. Reddit mods answer to no one, and do not care about the damage they cause to people's lives.
