Hello, keyboarders!
« on: Sat, 23 July 2016, 03:24:13 »
Hello everyone!

I have been using mech keyboard(s) for a few years now. I started with TVS Gold http://www.amazon.in/dp/B00U126ZGA and a few months back got Atreus.

I've been enjoying the new Atreus, and now getting the urge to get more keyboards, key caps etc.  :D

Again, hello all :)

Welcome to Geekhack!

The TVS Gold has MX blue switches, right?  A non-standard layout, unfortunately, so finding a replacement keycap set will be a little difficult.

The Atreus is a completely different layout :))

What switches did you go for in the Atreus?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I'm not going to customize anything with the TVS. For Atreus, I have Matias clicky switches with blank ALPS. Having a hard time to find fancier keycaps for that.

Oh.  Alps keycaps are even harder to find.

mk.com has a Dolch Tai Hao set that might cover most of the Atreus: https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1362

Those all look good.

I just thought - why not make one more Atreus! Thinking about getting transparent acrylic with Zealios.
