This is a HHKB with an Apple Magic Trackpad 2 built into a "case".

The trackpad is black via a Apple Magic Trackpad Gen 2 Skin from DecalGirl http://tiny.cc/isoeez

All the usb cords are packed in with a small USB port inside, so it's 1 USB plug for the HHKB & trackpad.
The trackpad battery never dies and HHKB USB port doesn't get destroyed from all the plugging & unplugging.

Obviously, I don't need to look at the keyboard while typing, so being able to put this on my lap and type & use the trackpad is an ergonomic dream come true.

Interesting setup. I love typing with my keyboard on my lap/knees.

Only thing I'm curious of is the trackpad position. I always considered the central position to be ideal only due to space (width) and to accommodate both left and right-handed users. But I'd figure it preferable to have the trackpad next to the keyboard for ergonomics and maintaining a healthy wrist angle.

I'm using a Varmilo VA88M CMYK with Cherry MX Greens. Love the clacks, but looking for something a bit quieter for my next board!

The keyboard I am currently using is the Dell SK-8125.
This is the keyboard I use at school and other such vehicles since they had it just laying around.
It's a rubber dome and despite some mild stiffness, it's actually decently tactile with a nice typing feel.
Shame that it isn't an ISO layout, though. I love ISO.
Linears are for linear people. No offense if you use linears.
I prefer tactile switches, I'm reluctantly using the AULA SI-859 and my pronouns are she/her.

Just finished my Tofu 65 build.

Gray Alu case with stock brass weight
Brass plate
Healios (lubed Krytox 205g0)
OG Cherry stabs (clipped and lubed Dielectric/Teflon)
Keycaps: TBD. Hoping to find a set of enjoyPBT black/black for cheap. I'm trying to match my Fugu that's black/gray.

I also have a Planck I'm trying to find a use for. I need new keycaps for that. I also am looking for a cheap gaming board to just use for games. Something like an old Poker with linears.

New-to-me. Mech27 and Greetech linear (spring swap and 205g0). Will post photos once I get it dressed up.

Wasn't always the biggest fan of linear switches but holeee hell. Maybe it's because I'm coming off a few months of only using BKE heavies, but there's something very satisfying about both the feel and sound of this board.

Slim folio with rubber domes/membrane switches.

I thought it was mechanical for a while however i been using it for so long. Don't get me wrong, it feels awful but it does the job until i can find a bluetooth mechanical keyboard for my Ipad.

My daily driver is an OLKB Preonic rev3. I use it at both work and home.

While the ortho-linear form-factor took me a few months to get used to, I've grown to really like it. It required some discipline to develop the proper muscle the memory, but I can now comfortably switch between staggered and ortho-linear layouts with ease.

Logitech Slim Folio case with rubber domes. Not really a good feel since i bottom out so much.

Tell me, what does a switch feel like where you're not allowed to bottom out? I have never typed on a switch that does not allow you to bottom out.

My Realforce R2 45g arrived today...
at least, that's what I thought!

I ordered a used one from a seller on Amazon Japan, and it turns out they sent me a Realforce 108UBK (variable).
I don't plan on returning it though, since it's in good condition and didn't pay as much. It's my first Topre board, so I'm excited to finally use one after wanting one for so long.

This is my current daily driver. The guts are from a Filco Majestouch 2 TKL with Cherry MX Black switches that I got at Amazon. I also use a Pegasus Hoof controller in it for maximum customizability. The case is anodized aluminum from NPKC that I got on Amazon also. The keycaps are Matt3o /dev/tty that I got at massdrop.

I'm too lazy to take current pics, but I'm using this:
https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=47067.msg1406250#msg1406250
Except I have the vortex white pbt keycaps on it now. MX brown

I also have a Cooler Master Masterkeys Pro S RGB (MX brown TKL and I just set the all the keys to have white light)

I have a metallic pink Filco Majestouch 2 TKL that was meant for a project for a friend but I'm short keyboards. MX black (hate them)

I have a V1 TKL Code Keyboard but I broke the USB jack off and have yet to solder a new connector on. (MX clears, my favorite)

I'm actually short keyboards (I have like 10 machines at home, though 4 are servers.) Meanwhile 4 un-assembled keyboards are under my bed :)

I own keycap sets I like but I need some more keyboards to put them on...I need to buy a GMK set too, I don't have a single set of those...

I build this a couple of weekends ago and just got to using it now ... Feels really smooth to the touch when typing.

1up keyboards has some kits.

https://www.1upkeyboards.com/product-category/keyboard-kits/diy-87up-keyboard-kits/

This piece of sh#t right here(sorry for swearing, just mad):

It is a membrane keyboard with little to no tactility. I have been having a lot of issues with the case and keyboard itself.

The case was assembled improperly so it is near impossible to lock and adjust the volume buttons. No pairing is needed with it and that's the first issue. Sometimes, the ipad doesn't even recognize it and then it stops working. There is no linear, tactile or clicky feel and it feels like i'm typing on a piece of wet rubber. Silent AF.

It's also one of those peanut butter proof keyboards so it can tackle anything, and sometimes the stand falls down.

I mean i'm fine with my Mx reds as it is.

Apparantly the keyboard i was using right now was engineered to be silent and low key travel that way it creates no distractions. The feel is the only thing distracting, BUT NOT ANYMORE! I type so loud that everybody can hear me in the room.

A Race 3 non RGB, stock DSA caps, Zealios V2 62g (non-lubed) with my handmade hardwood rest.

Probably going to do another iteration of the rest...

Tomorrow I'll be on my TEX Beetle all day again, with MX Reds. Board has been great to me for 7 years now. Going to swap the switches for MX Silents + 3203. But wow these Silent Reds have a lot of variation, probably in the spring... Going to test and sort these before soldering them in...

I've gotten so bogged down in the last few months with all this stuff that I have going on, businesses, and so much more, but I've never given up my love for mechanical keyboards.

Right now, I'm typing on the Wooting One with Flaretech linear switches. Very excellent board once I replaced the stock keycaps with white PBT ones from HyperX. It was like a whole sea of RGB right on my bed, but I like how I can turn all those effects off throughout the day and still have a nice looking keyboard to type on. I like the keyboard so much I had considered buying a spare, possibly trying out the clicky version too.

It's honestly the only new keyboard I've bought for myself in months and it was worth every penny. Super smooth and addicting to type on, and so much so much, most of my other boards are in the closet right now. I was still alternating back and forth from my variable weight Topre board, my heavier 55g Topre board, and even my linear Gateron red board from time to time.

Finally also found a way to get rid of a lot of the pain I was having on my left hand with how badly the intrinsic muscles there were hurting (most likely an injury to the palmar interossei muscles). All I needed was some moist heat and contrast baths, and I'm feeling so much better now and can type a lot more again without pain. I still do my stretches and massages to keep those fingers in good shape, so I can still make money in the long run. Thankfully, no serious injuries were found on some MRIs and X-Rays i had earlier in the year.

DTK SPK-101 from 1990 with pine white Alps. It's my first white Alps board. Cleaned up very nicely and like it quite a lot!
