GMK Swiss addon kit

GB Post is Live!

During my previous project I got some requests to add a Swiss layout, but due to the nicheness I didn't want to offer it in a custom color, so this is my answer!
This is a simple IC for a GMK addon kit to finally add the Swiss layout as an option for custom keyboards.

What is the Swiss Layout?
Due to Switzerland having 4 national languages, most keyboards have a funky layout which lets them use 1 set of keycaps for all the languages. This is that layout!

Kits:

This allows for both an ISO and ANSI version, Side legends are UV printed.

Inspiration:

The Letter positioning was based on this old Cherry G81-3077 which had Dye sub Keycaps.

WS1 for the Caps and CR for the Legends for BoW and reverse for WoB. These match a lot of keysets, regardless of color!

Yes! Depending on the price I‘d even consider buying a few.

Could this also be done with EnjoyPBT instead? I‘d prefer PBT over ABS but I‘d also buy this addon kit.

I would like to keep this GMK so that it fits well with any GMK keycap set! A mix of ABS and PBT would be weird imo.

I would like to keep this GMK so that it fits well with any GMK keycap set! A mix of ABS and PBT would be weird imo.

You‘re absolutely right. For a second I forgot that this is just an add on kit and not a complete set.

For ANSI support I’d rather use a £$ in R1, making the second R2 1.75u key available for backspace for example.

1u Alt Gr key would be nice, a lot of people use Tsangan/HHKB bottom row.

I support adding R1 £$ for split backspace. Would add a lot usability, especially for smaller boards.

Is it safe to assume the unlabeled f and j are scooped? I once got a set (Umbra?) where I had either bars or no homing at all, so I'm careful to ask.

This is more a functional set than a set meant for looks. Accented keys = more keys which raise price so I'm trying to avoid!

Maybe I‘ve missed this but do you already have an approximate price quote?

Can Swiss also buy the set directly from you (I assume that you are Swiss) to reduce shipping costs and avoid customs duties?

I've thought about it as well, I have to look into it further but it might get too complicated from a business perspective (Shipping, taxes, etc.), also iirc Candy keys removes EU Vat so it might end up about the same if I were to sell them.
