Let me know if you'd get tired of the PBT set, mate. I am interested in them!  :thumb:

Noted, but the plan (such as it is) is to use this set as the standard set on my QFR MX greens (which is also on its way), and swap them out occasionally when I get new novelty sets.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Sometime I send out by invoice number, or paid on date or...
...and order within the first day of GB's opening!  Min-maxing my group buy experience  :p

Based on my forum name and that I ordered at the last moment, I think I pretty much failed in that regard. :D

And if only they were going onto a set of MX greens ...

Isn't that what the different coloured Cherry keys signify?

Overall most of the colors didn't come out exactly for what I was shooting for. Some are a little bit off, a couple were way off. I've been talking to imsto about what needs to be done to ensure color exactness for future.

I wondered about that, because I remember reading that IMSTO had some 100F+ temperature at the factory and couldn't dye properly around the time when our sets were being made.  I wonder if that in any way affected the way colors came out.

Miami Odessa is one that seemed very off to me, but I do really like the way it turned out.  Very soft colors, and it still goes really well together.

Just got my set today. Thanks so much for organizing this!

Can anybody determine which Signature Plastics colors are closest to these two grays? I have a WFK spacebar and it is noticeably brighter than these "whites".

Edit: here's a color comparison of various white/grey keycaps.

Spacebar is Signature Plastics "WFK"

Left to right:

WASD "White"
IMSTO "White"
WASD "Light Grey"
IMSTO "Grey"
WASD "Dark Grey"

Got a huge package from Ivan today  :p

I love how the sets turned out, but the wrong capslock key is really bothering me. It looks so stupid and misplaced on the board :(

Of course this is not Ivan's fault, but I hope this can be resolved in the future. Wouldn't it be possible to make "novelty caps" GB for capslock keys with a MOQ of 20?

But apart from that:

Thank you very much for all the efforts you put into all your GBs Ivan!!

The hot pink in the Odessa set came out pretty close to what I expected.

The turquoise came out too light.

Still a beautiful set.

The blue cherry is the blue I was hoping would be on the full set. But alas it's more navy than anything.

Which set are you talking about?

My Irish set has blank 2 blank meta keys, which I'd like to replace with the green win symbols from the regular green set :)

Anybody up for this little trade?

I didn't participate in this GB, but I have a G80-3000 white/grey. I can trade my win keys with your blanks, since I'm a Linux user.
However, please note that they have black legends.
I'm in Europe, as you are.

I've never worried that much about it.

Even with (a certain level of) tracking, it only covers the package as far as a US airport.  Then suddenly a couple of weeks later a package arrives in my mailbox.

Right, USPS first class stop updating after it leaves customs in US. To get door to door international tracking you would have had to get Priority Express and it is super ****ing expensive.

All I'm really after is an 87-key set, in these colors (but with the correct caps lock color), PBT, regardless of profile (OEM, Cherry, whatever), and preferably with a blank (or Mac) "Windows" key.

I'm surprised it's so hard to find. Anybody know of any place I can get something like this? If I could I'd happily buy two.

Thanks! I was hoping for a 1.25x Windows key; I suppose I could buy a black set and an otaku set and mix and match; although (a) it doesn't come with a spacebar, and (b) the f5-f8 keys are white.

don't suppose anyone want to sell/trade their gray blue-on-gray mods w/ numpad?
I have blue-on-white set from a GH a while ago, kinda prefer gray mods over white.

but dat cap lock... cringe.

How hard was to clean the glue after removing that HPE logo? Any scratches?

All I'm really after is an 87-key set, in these colors (but with the correct caps lock color), PBT, regardless of profile (OEM, Cherry, whatever), and preferably with a blank (or Mac) "Windows" key.

I'm surprised it's so hard to find. Anybody know of any place I can get something like this? If I could I'd happily buy two.

Thanks! I was hoping for a 1.25x Windows key; I suppose I could buy a black set and an otaku set and mix and match; although (a) it doesn't come with a spacebar, and (b) the f5-f8 keys are white.
Also, I just learned, all of these modifier keys are 1.5x instead of 1.25x, and their caps lock key has an offset stem.

Solution: RIT dye.  Or side-stemmed Caps Lock switch placement.

Or we find a way to reach the 300 moq. For 1 key, I would probably be willing to buy 2-3 to reach moq even if I only need 1, depending on price. Even if only for blank. 300 is a lot for a full set, but for 1 key it's much less. I don't know what are the volumes for the last GB, but maybe we could make an IC/poll to see if we could get this number.
ditto on this. if 60 people bought five? is that plausible? the white caps lock really bothers me :\

Your eyes are better than your choice of name good Sir. :) I didn't even clean any glue, there was probably very little used. I don't know about the scratches, didn't really care. It's probably not perfect but as you can see on this crappy picture there's no serious damage. Can make and PM you a better pic tomorrow when I'm back to work, if I don't forget.

Got the set as well, lovely thick PBT.

2 problems though:

- Did anyone else notice that the spacebar gets stuck in cherry stabilizers? The only way I can use it on my Poker II or Ducky boards is that I put it only halfway on the switch, otherwise it just stays in the bottom out position. It can prove problematic if I don't have a keypuller with me, as it's really hard to get it out. I bought another PBT keyset from IMSTO a few months ago, no problems with that, neither with Poker II's stock PBT, or with another PBT set from Vortex. So I tested 3 other sets, each on 2 different keyboards, so I can safely say that the problem is not with my boards.

I'm trying to figure out if it's a problem with the batch or it's just my spacebar. Obviously, if it's not an overall problem with the batch, I'd like a replacement. :)

- Ivan, do you, by any chance, have a spare blank Caps Lock? I got an extra '\' cap (also blank) instead.

I actually had the same problem on my Poker X. I just put the spacebar on lightly so it wasn't an issue anymore.
