They are called "Board Game LFRB". They come 25 boxes to a box, so don't be a dumbass like me and order "20"! You'll end up with 520 boxes!! :-P
MOD EDIT NOTE: read what captain said about quantity BEFORE you place the order!
-
Free? Damn Australia needs to follow suit!
-
Nice find! Where'd you find the place to put 520 boxes? :juggle:
-
great!
Now you can do something like that: http://www.milkandcookies.com/link/59005/detail/
-
Suppose you don't have to get boxes for gifts for a while now.

Next to the front door for the moment.
Imagine: 08:20 on lördag(*1) morning: DING-DONG--DING-DONG... I opened the door in my robe, expecting the sheriff with a warrant, or some such BS, but found 18 boxes fencing me in, and the postman running up with two more.
My pre-coffee mind going, "Oh ****! WTF did I drunk-eBay this time?!?" :-o
Then I got really excited, thinking, "oh! Did a 2 keyboard order get bonus upped to 20?!"
Then I finally figured out that my USPS "20 boxes" order was for 20 boxes OF TWENTY-FIVE boxes each. Doh!
At least it was free, but damn! I don't have storage space for all this. I guess I'll just have to start shipping out all of my keyboards to lucky geekhack recipients. ;-P
*1: Leave it to Apple to only give you two backasswards date/time format options. The only way to get ISO *world standard* time/date formats on iPwn is to set International Prefs to Swedish. So I'm learning my months and days in Swedish.
-
you can probably bring them back to the post office

You can. My little brother ordered about 5,000 various boxes and we returned almost all of them.
-
I've got a few of them already. Great for storage if you shelve them with the long side running away from you as you can remove the keyboard without disturbing any other boxes.

That's how I store my keyboards.
-
Your local Post Office will take at least some of them. Also, stores like Office Depot and Mailboxes, etc that ship are happy to have them.
-
Thanks for this, I grabbed a few!
-
Thanks for posting! Ordered.
-
Looks like I'll have to make a trip to the post office soon. Accidentally placed 5 orders for a total of 75 boxes... lol
-
THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU
EDIT: Oh great, I ordered 20, and THEN read your OP. -_-
-
Thanks a lot! I need a better system for keyboard storage.
Hmm, I'm creeping up on 25 keyboards sore rapidly than I thought: maybe I should get 2 :p
-
Great find! Thanks for the info. Now I can think about bringing some Ducky full size keyboards. :P
-
A friend in high school once sent me a few hundred DHL boxes...
-
I used this a couple times. It's almost perfect for a full size keyboard. I never thought of using them for storage. Great idea

I was mailing something at the post office today and asked if they happened to have any of these in the back. I guess there was someone like Captain who accidentally got 1293801489 boxes because they had a few stacks of random amounts that they said "people returned because they got way too many delivered." Hahaha.
So thanks for the heads up... and know that you are not alone in your ordering mishap. :D

So here's my box stack:

(File is too large to upload here)
Bike is Visp Windwing (in the process of being built): Similar to leader (very likely same MFG plant) not a track/fixie.
The boxes are rather large. Once the bike is gone, I will have to devise a way to stack them up in my closet so I'll be able to easily access the keyboards. Also, I may want to put several in one box. My cherry G84 has tons of room.

Nice bike dorkvader! I should have left mine in the photo of my stack o' boxes.
