(GB) PENUMBRA SA KEYSET(shipping)
« on: Sat, 16 November 2013, 15:25:09 »

Brewed from the depths of geekhack, here comes a creation inspired by the Solarized palette.

Solarized is a sixteen color palette (eight monotones, eight accent colors) designed for use with terminal and gui applications. It has several unique properties.

It has been tested extensively in real world use on color calibrated displays (as well as uncalibrated/intentionally miscalibrated displays) and in a variety of lighting conditions.

Please order here

https://ctrlalt.io/

Keyset is in SA profile and from SP

All color details and other info is available on the site prior to order

The groupbuy will last for 30 days, and i will be invoicing throughout the buy period, order and payment deadline will be the same day

Once all keys are quality checked and shipped we accept no responsibility, if you would like any specialised shipping please contact me or select custom shipping when ordering

There will be extra keys added to this gb, but the mockups indicate the minimum keys within the gb, we are working on some extra functional keys and possibly novelty keys that will be added at no extra cost

A free set will be given to Ryan Uber, for coming up with the concept of this set and for his work

Special thanks from me as always to margo, raccoon, cody and tym

This is going to turn out really well mostly because it's SA profile. Well done.

Edit: Thank you for doing the 'Control' Caps Lock replacement! I wish we start seeing these more often.

BunnyLake running an all SA Profile key-set Group Buy, how could I refuse - just placed an  order with you.

This one will definitely go on some decent keyboards, to make them look like they were made in the early 80's  8) .

You should ask GMK make tall spherical thick ABS caps that will cost under um... I don't know how many hundreds of dollars a set :)  SA by SP are very high quality caps, thick and very nice.  I'm excited to have them.

It's like some sort of never-ending high.  You figure that one or two GB's was setup to provide us with SA goodness, yet it's now become about 4 or 5 sets to be unleashed onto the populace of Geekhack.

It's a real good time to be a Cherry Lover  :-* .

Haha that's the way I'm thinking about it. Next pay is already committed to KB stuff but this set will get the pay after :P
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

I think ErgoDox sets are not happening, because Bunny explained that he already got too few orders for it with the Hyper Fuse group buy, and it was a higher expense than anticipated, which had to be covered.

Once I get my hands on a 40% it would be great to have this too. I guess a board that doesn't exist yet is kind of a risk for any GB organizer at this stage? Have ordered my Honeywell though.

I am supporting 40 percent with the nostalgia gb, if this gb hits 50 base sets I'll be adding 40 percent support to it also

And yes if people wanna combine shipping with other buys that's fine, just state it in the notes of your order

i have plans on what will be added when we hit certain tiers, that is something that will be added at certain points, the way i run things is i set the prices at a tier that i can reasonably hit, and i guarantee that price, so the set will be made no matter what, then if we break that point, i will keep adding to the set at no extra cost to the end user, the first thing i will be adding is the keys needed for 40% support, that will be at about 50 base orders, after that i plan on adding a sorta extras slash novelty pack, that will include arrow cluster with arrows not words, those extra geek hack keys you speak of, a penumbra eclipse novelty key, and a 1.25 and 1.5 bottom row caps lock key, that will be added at about the 100 order mark and we shall work from there

i would say we will hit that range pretty easily, but i dont like adding those things now and then having to withdraw them

outstanding! i was about to ask about a novelty key just for the set... but glad that you already have that in mind.
thank you for the added info on the keys that will be added.

looking forward to more people ordering and getting extra keys.
